This one was fun to make, I think I see why now so many ambient tracks are really long compared to most pop music. They work in an entirely different way. In a regular song, even the catchiest of hooks can grow stale with too many listens. With a good ambient track, you get sucked into an amazing vibe that you'll never want to leave.

(with the exception of occasional and easily discernible voice clips)
I like to layer guitars and distort them as much as I can.

Repose (Evolution)

My first new track in years! A lot has changed, mainly the guitar pedals. I've been binging ambient guitar tutorials on youtube. I still don't quite have the sound I want, but I know I'm on the right path. Enjoy the track! It features a big reverb loop, some guitar string infused textures and some gentle machine samples with wind.
