Mark, both the guitar and the voice are working really well here. It's a sad song, of course. As previously, you lift from the personal to the bigger picture as you continue. For some reason,this reminds me of Neil Young: Something about the mix of vocal and lyrics.

Gosh!  Over a year since I've posted a new song!  It’s been a rough few years, but for me, the past 6 months have been particularly hard.  

This song was written ages ago, but I wanted to record it, just to have a copy for myself.  It’s a one-take piano/singing thing, with flaws but a sense of the underlying feeling.  While I was producing it, it developed a life of its own.  I had thought I’d rock it up with quite a conventional sound, but the drums and bass insisted on having their own unique flavours – ribbons of synth.  Aah well, here it is, a bit rough around the edges but at least I can feel that I am making music again...  thanks so much for listening!

Finn: I plan to go back to my Irish routes more this year and created a simple backing track on Octave Mandolin & Tenor Banjo, but then ran out of ideas.  Doina took a listen and came up with this lovely uplifting tune. The song had a different name when we started out, but now it reminds me of driving along a coast road with the window open. Thank you Doina!

Special thanks to Noobly for us his hard work in writing and producing such wonderful instrumentals. It’s two years since we started the Conscience Of Kings project and we have recorded over a 100 songs together.
