Breakcore track I made in Soundtrap that took me a month because I took a 3 week break (I was procrastinating ♥️)

First track of the EP. Decided to pick up FL and randomly make something, which is how this EP started. The name alludes to being the EP's main track. Does it matter? In another time it would matter. Not skilled, not extravagant. Quite lifeless and without potential.

Last track of the EP, made in under 20 minutes straight. Tried to attempt sidechaining again but failed to make it work, so I gave up on it. No knowledge, for I do not understand. Far from what I want, because my mind spans further than my hands, much further than I'd wish for it to. "One day" I say. But am I sure?

Wanted to try my hand at DnB. The name alludes to the skill and time it took to make: Not much, under an hour. I want to do more, but right now it is not viable and is what it is. It exists, that is its special power.

The Dubstep track of the EP. Tried to deal with automation and sidechaining for the first time. Its "too low" because it's not what I want it to be. "What it should be" is because the track is what it should be in this moment in time: however it is, because skill isn't magical. It takes time.

It was late at night and I was frustrated with my lack of motivation for making music. So I decided to force myself to make something, and it turned out pleasantly. The title means by not giving up, or procrastinating, I was able to have fun by making something I am proud of.

Second track of my second EP "push doubt, aside"

I was watching a tutorial on how to use FL Studio and came across shortcuts that allowed me to split up midi notes. I made a chord progression, used it, and came out with this. The reason this even fits into the EP is because it was made during my active learning process, of how to use the DAW and become a better artist.

Third track of my second EP "push doubt, aside"

Recently, I had finished listening to vai5000's "there is a you that remains" album, and after listening, I had become inspired by her style. So, I opened up FL Studio and tried to make something inspired by her song "intact." It was meant to be a minimal piece, almost lofi-esque, but went a totally different direction because I couldn't get the tone of the notes how I wanted. Happy accident I guess.

Fourth track of my second EP "push doubt, aside"

This was made during a particularly stressful day. I had a renewed vigor, a need to do SOMETHING. Make ANYTHING. I was officially at my limit of giving up on my music, and having not made anything for 3 weeks, I decided to crack open FL and just work on something. This is inspired by MAGU - lifeline (DM8 & Lexay Remix). I had become obsessed with this track and kept imagining remix ideas, so I made something with what I had in mind. It did not turn out how I imagined (knowing I'm not at that skill level yet), but this is genuinely the best track I've made so far. 

I am proud. I did it. Believe it.
