Dj wiggles is the creative mind behind the brilliant forward-thinking party, mix series and soon-to-be record label, kinetic. Launched over a year ago, kinetic is a platform to spotlight those who are emerging and to bring their creativity to life. A platform with no restrictions, breaking the boundaries of what something should be, which is an approach Dj wiggles has throughout all of her work. Leaning more towards the low-end, trippy frequencies, Dj wiggles is one to watch!

wav.world emerged out of a long-running chat exchange of mixes, tracks, and some playful speculation: If you were going to make a platform for DJ mixes in 2024, what would it look like?

Mixes are a unique type of musical expression. They capture a specific moment in time, determined by the knowledge and style of the artist. A mix is as important a creative statement as an album, remix or EP. One mix can change an artist’s career, one mix can open a listener’s mind to something completely new.

𝔂𝓸𝓾𝓻 𝓯𝓪𝓿𝓸𝓻𝓲𝓽𝓮 𝓶𝓲𝔁𝓮𝓼 𝓪𝓻𝓮 𝓽𝓲𝓶𝓮𝓵𝓮𝓼𝓼.

We miss the importance that mixes used to have. So, we made a platform for mixes.

Each wav.world mix gives one artist the time and resources to create whatever kind of mix they want, to share something sonic about who they are and what they love.

Every wav.world mix will feature a longform interview with the artist which gets to the heart of what moves them—in music and in life—through text, video and image. Each edition of wav.world will feature the commissioned work of music journalists, visual artists and graphic artists.

Lychee is the vibrant force behind Spontaneous Affinity, a monthly mix and interview series that delves into the transformative power of dancefloors. A fixture in New York's underground scene, Lychee's DJ sets blend technoid psychedelia with meaningful exploration, lighting up venues like Basement, Nowadays, and Bossa Nova Civic Club. Beyond the decks, Lychee's impact resonates through event collectives Antidote and Meridian, co-running label Unimatrix Zero, and serving on the Aslice Foundation board.

The next edition of Spotlight heads to Bogotá to showcase the wild stylings of Venezuelan artist WOST. For over a decade now, WOST has been digging into his Afro-Latin influences through his productions and DJ sets, spanning across dembow, house, raptor house, techno, guaracha, reggaetón and more. With releases on esteemed labels such as TraTraTrax, NAAFI, and International Chrome as well as a recent collaboration with Merca Bae on a single released via Florentino’s Club Romantico, WOST is certainly one to watch.
