With less the 2 weeks until "Drown Out" is released on Anticon and today celebrating 15 year's anniversary of the label in Los Angeles' Echoplex here is Music Concrete.

The title, a play on the term for found sound features Chris Alfaro (of Free The Robots) and Phil Nisco skateboarding. I find the noise of which is speed incarnate. The sidewalk's texture, ollies and grinds, all evocative of a controlled fall. The track is that, barely holding on, crashing along, but also unabashedly free.

Touring is a solitary business for the most part. Into one city and the next thing you know you are looking at it in the rearview mirror traveling to the next. Thoughts happen; like what if this and this and this all went together and had sex, remix sex. This is an EXPLICIT song, full of fucks and sillinesses, made out with quickly, I'd like to think expertly done, but likely not. Just a mess, and I'm happy to present it to you.

This October, in the aftermath of Angel Haze's first ever London performance, she and Luckyme producer Lunice - fresh from a gig at the Warehouse Project with Hudson Mohawke as TNGHT - met for the first time at Metropolis Studios, where they worked into the night creating a new song, from scratch.

"Gimme That," is an all-out assault as Angel Haze lays a relentless tongue-lashing to Lunice's synth, kick, and snap stew. The single, available November 14 at yourstru.ly/songsfromscratch/ is the latest in adidas originals and yours truly's "Songs from Scratch" series that also includes Danny Brown & Araabmuzik's "Molly Ringwlad," and Joey Bada$$' "Daily Routine."

Since our beginning, we've been consistently crossing paths with talented artists one way or another. Whether it was from them playing one of our shows, or us finding them on the web, we've found something we love about everyone on here. The Melt Compilation Vol. 1 is a collection of songs from these artists alongside all five of our residents who include Gossamer, Moiety, Snorlax, FuzZ, Kloud, and Djemba Djemba. The styles incorporated within the compilation span one too many sub-genres too mention. The release itself is a result of the growing community of talent that we find ourselves in each day. We're grateful to be a part of such a progressive movement of artists who are paving new paths and we look forward to being here to watch the growth continue.
