My very  first album , Resona, is a sonic journey through different resonances. Fully recorded in Guadalajara, Resona is the combination of brass with jazz and electronic influences. 

Over the past two years, i'v visited Guadalajara seven times to record different types of sounds and vibration. From the mystical trombon, to the edgy trumpet, and the low frequency Tuba as well as vocals and drums, Maga mixed these different sounds with an electronic edge. 

The objective was to create an easy listening album that would touch multiple generations and ethnicities.

It started with a chord progression I’d recorded on the piano sometime during the pandemic. During those lockdowns I heard about Holly Herndon’s Holly+ machine learning vocal interface. I fed my chords into her and it came back sounding like a choir of glitchy angels.  Later I found a vocal sample from an obscure jazz record which fitted perfectly on top. A couple of years later I was playing the track live in Thailand at the Wonderfruit festival, when a percussion loop from the previous track kept running accidentally, creating a new groove and energy. Finally Magic Mountain was weaving its spell.

FREE.D is making another synth journey full of sound philosophy: small touches and big secrets one wave after another that's what we meet here along the way. A great remix from Death on the Balcony masters the high level of this EP's sound. It's a great match we definitely want to experience once again in the nearest future.
