Uniting the worlds of donk, euro-dance, trance and techno, the emerging producer is less concerned with opinions of the chin-stroking purists and more concerned with fun - crafting sensual and infectious pop-techno bangers that have fun firmly on  the menu.

‘In Der Nacht’ inspires images of that club scene from Blade - a vampirish, dark and distinctly Berlin twist on the typical trance aesthetic.

“Fluid Meditations” marks DJ Gigola's debut album, set to be released on the 3rd of February 2023.
In eight tracks she explores shared aspects of meditation and the dance experience, fusing them into a new form of introspective practice. Gigola expresses her approach through the lens of guided meditation with spoken word. Lyrically, she traverses three aspects in particular: awareness of the now, embodiment and unfolding of the ego. Her work presents these themes chronologically ordered in a continuous mix. The very personal compositions deliberately juxtapose leading themes of a virtual world, such as anonymity, the restlessness of online interaction, and the physical disembodiment.
We are guided through this process by her voice, which DJ Gigola places against a background of low-pass frequencies, field recordings, breathing techniques and ASMR. These are synthesised with a warp of organic percussions, goa, and psytrance - creating a meditation practice that goes beyond traditional methods by decontextualizing elements of rave as a catalyst for Gigola’s own exploration of escapism. Quite fittingly, she will debut her album in a live set at the 18th birthday of Berlin escapist club “Berghain” on the 11th of December.
