Bergi's Bass Theory events are back to everyone's favourite ship, A38 this summer and I had the honour to be one of the guests at the opening afternoon a couple of days ago. <3 I thought the special occasion deserves a vinyl-only set, so I grabbed a bunch of lovely records I bought recently and dropped a selection of garage, 2-step, bass and other mid-tempo music that's heavily influenced by electro, uk hardcore or jungle. To avoid falling completely into the winter blues I thought it would be nice to escape the cold and gray reality for a moment, fast-forward 5-6 months in my mind into peak summertime, and think about what uk garage tunes I would play at an imaginary seaside or poolside party on a hot, sunny afternoon. The result of this daydreaming is a dj-mix that contains 20 lovely UKG tracks, all of them are recent favorites and discoveries of mine and have that fun, careless, and soulful vibe that is much needed these days to counterbalance this season. ;) Enjoy!

Ending the year with an awesome mix by @FlxK1, a Berlin-based DJ, producer, and label honcho. His perspective has been a big inspiration in the music scene since the late '90s, from killer work on various labels to unforgettable performances.

This mix is a shout-out to 25 years of Hidden Hawaii and 10 years of Nullpunkt Recordings. Some of it you could hear at our London party in August 2023. Big thanks to Felix for this mix, and here's to many more awesome releases in the future.
