Is it a wave or a particle? It all comes down to frequency. What we perceive as light, what we perceive as sound. Is it a compressed wave or a stretched one? 

Waveform Modulations was founded in 2006 to maintain a frequency, to collect quality programming in order that this programming can be preserved and made available for those who might gravitate towards the specific frequencies that these collections of programs mentioned herein inhabit.

Calculated intuition and quantum coincidence continue to play an important role in the architectural development of multimedia produce of Waveform Modulations.

Searches for gravitational waves will require families of "search templates" with which to cross correlate the detector's output. Introducing a fitting factor as a quantitative measure of how well the best template in a family "fits" a hypothetical gravitational waveform, in the presence of a specific detector noise spectrum. The fitting factor is used to explore the adequateness of several families as search templates for gravitational waves from compact inspiraling binaries.

The binaries are taken to move in circular orbits, and the "advanced noise spectrum'' is assumed for the detectors. One can first study the acceptability of the simplest three-parameter template family, the so-called "Newtonian family". From previous studies by Finn, Królak, Kokotas, Schäfer, Dhurandar, and Balasubramanian, we infer that post-Newtonian effects in the true waveforms of binaries with vanishing spins cause the Newtonian family to have a low fitting factor.

One can then study the influence of Waveform Modulations, caused by spin-induced orbital precession, and then isolate the modulation effects from other post-Newtonian effects by pretending that the true signals are pure Newtonian with modulation. Many different parameters influence the precession and then the waveform modulation. A wide range of parameter values can be explored, and intuition is developed into which parameters most strongly influence the fitting factor.

It is shown that the unmodulated Newtonian template family works quite well in searches for the modulated Newtonian signal from two neutron stars with one of them maximally spinning. By contrast, for a maximally spinning black hole with a nonrotating nuetron star, the Newtonian template family produces fitting factors for more than half of all the binaries' orientations, if the spin and orbital angular momenta are misaligned. One can introduce a new four-parameter template family, which has the form of the nonmodulated post-Newtonian signal from a zero-spin-binary.

Yes, there are many variables and parameters to consider. Art is an important thing however and time must be spent sifting through the oceans of information to find the treasures, many of which are hidden at the bottom. Special technologies have been created that allow us to explore these nether regions and bring back representations to share with the masses. With no end in sight, Waveform Modulations presents quality art for connoisseurs of reality.
