The track was recorded during a period of forced movements to different cities and countries of Europe in connection with the start of a full-scale war in my native country. The mood—inspired by a constant change of locations—is expressed in the tortuous soundspaces, resembling slowly appearing and disappearing landscapes perpetually witnessed from train windows.

The techno side of my project.
To create this track, I used the Roland SH-01A synthesizer as the main lead melodyes, a Cyclone TT-303 loop was recorded for bass, percussion includes TR909 samples, as well as some other drum samples taken separately from different libraries.

Influence

"Jaguar" is the first track that Manuel Knwell and Waveskania created together with plans for 2021 to make an EP together. The art was in charge of the chillanejo painter, Jacob Cortez, the edition of Heidy Sánchez from Costa Rica.

The theme was produced through tracks that were sent by Waveskania from Ukraine and that Manuel gave it an aesthetic and musical sense, adding ethnic sounds and a church organ, and added to this work by the photographer from the V region Mauricio Cancino who recorded the hiss of the Jaguar.

The styles that fuse here are experimental/ambient electronics with ethnic ritualistic music.

Night City Soundscape

The track is dedicated to all sorts of persecutions (geo-political, ideological, religious, cultural, etc.) and uses the sounds of the Ukrainian Carpathian sopilka and the singing of a Tibetan woman as a symbolic aspect.

Persecution

The Waveskania project was created in the summer of 2019 by Ukrainian electronic DIY-producer Katerina Yan. Her music resides at the junction of various genres. These influences includie intelligent techno, ambient/drone, idm and electronica.

Katerina makes it a priority to research the various sources of sound. She examines their nature, their interaction and impact on the operation of the brain. She makes this by scanning, sampling and operates spectral analysis of environmental sounds, acoustic and electronic instruments, radio noises, various software with subsequent DSP-processing. By doing so she has created unique sound catalogs.
