A teaser of the single ‘I Will Lie’ which features on the upcoming self-titled debut EP - consisting of contemporary acoustic songs, alternative pop layers, relatable lyrics and an addictive beat - being launched on the 5th of May.

I Will Lie (Teaser)

Two of Wax Lyrical’s original members, Lyndon Cantwell and Chris Sainsbury, herald from the island state of Tasmania where they crafted their sound and gained live experience in and around Hobart. After successfully recording and releasing their feel-good song “Home” in Tasmania, the band relocated to Melbourne and found their third member, Dave Leung.

After quickly settling into Melbourne, the band began the process of writing and recording their debut EP – recorded at the esteemed Studio 52 in Collingwood, mixed and mastered by the highly-knowledgeable Trevor Carter. Their, self-titled debut EP consists of contemporary acoustic songs, alternative pop layers, relatable lyrics and an addictive beat.

Beyond the EP, Wax Lyrical have created and are still producing many more songs in their repertoire of originals while creating adaptions of both contemporary and classic covers.

Wax Lyrical hosted a successful and energetic launch of their debut EP on the 5th of May 2017 with a launch party being held at The Workers Club in Fitzroy, Victoria supported by Melbourne favourites The Elliotts and North.
