God Speed You Drunk (Edit) - Coventry Climax

This song resulted in "field recordings" of a night a few of us attempted to make this really nice reel to reel recorded work. After hours of frustration it was eventually revealed all the little rubber bits inside had dried up and broken. I still have the machine though. It is a nice looking piece.

Reel Shit - Coventry Climax

An homage to the greatness of George Carlin. Constructed after meeting him at a book signing for "Napalm and Silly Putty" in the summer of 2001.

The 7 Dwarves - Coventry Climax

A drunken cover of the "classic" Generation X/Billy Idol song. A regional college radio hit.

Dancing With Myself - Coventry Climax

One of the last songs Coventry Climax recorded. This song was very fun to record and is a personal favorite of mine. A lot of other people have seemed to like it as well over the years, which is nice too.

These days I sell mainly vintage vinyl records of various styles, era's and scarcity but am slowly getting back in to the fun of the art and science of creating sounds.

In the past, under the Coventry Climax banner, sometimes I'd make silly music on a 4 track cassette recorder alone or with friends who had greater talent than myself. 

More often than not, drink was involved and no more than a few hours were spent "crafting" each recording.

All of the songs presented here by Coventry Climax were recorded between 2001 thru 2005.

I figured the cloud would be as good a place as any to dump some of these old memories?
