What started out as something we do for fun quickly turned into a channel through which we can share our passion for electronic music. We had no idea that more than 5 years later we would've hosted so many amazing artists, and even more amazing human beings. Thanks for the support, and thanks to all our loyal listeners, tuning in everyday from all over the world ❤️.

As regulars at @initiate_concept we figured @pattrn_dj is the right soul for the occasion. He is co-founder and resident of the event series. They invite guests and labels to the @fusebrussels motion room on a regular basis. Ness became interested in electronic music in the late 90's. Few years later he started djing, taking inspiration from various genres going from trance to pure experimentation. The interest in music led him to attend various courses as audio engineer or the conservatory of his hometown in Italy for some years. The need to express himself through music led him to experiment and research, the result in recent years that reflects better his music is increasingly focused on the atmosphere that is intertwined with a hypnotic rhythm.Since 2009 he founded his own label Mono Records that take the name from his own record store where he used to work since 2007 with his friend Bettosun; and releases music in labels such as Prologue, Synewave, Sonata and Varianz. The experience gained through the years leads to define his DJ sets that are characterized by a strong array of Techno and House at the same time.

With releases on the likes of Semantica, Hypnus Records, Mental Modern and Prologue, to name but a few, Backdrop is a dedicated studio dweller, forming strong bonds with multiple synthesisers over the years in order to develop the Alan Backdrop sound his loyal followers have grown to love.

It was our honor to host & share this event last August 2018 with a special crowd that came to celebrate this unique moment for the underground music scene: the 25th year of the legendary Downwards Records.

The well visited off jam session was a very notable and intimate birthday celebration and this set is delivering the exact atmosphere and vibe that was experienced during this evening.

Downwards is a record label founded in Birmingham, England in 1993 by Regis and Female, it has a fundamental and influential impact on the electronic music and techno panorama we know today since its beginning. 

Thanks to Regis, Layne, Jim Ningus and Justin Anastasi for their incredible music and the beautiful vibe they created.
