We kick off our SoundCloud mix series with a nifty b2b from myself Lockback and Gavrat.  With this mix we take you on a journey through various genres playing some our favourite picks and some olden but golden finds over the recent months within Glasgow's record shops.

Bash man is a DJ based in Glasgow known for his fast mixing techniques and record collection crossing the harder essence of cuts for the dance floor. Determined to bring maximum jack to the box - Bash blends house and techno of all varieties seamlessly, and with one ear placed in the past and one directed to the future.

Well versed in the Scottish scene - you can catch Bash through the RUSH parties in Glasgow alongside mi$$ cosmix. Alongside this Bash causes mayhem further afield through in Edinburgh as part of the resist crew with their weekly techno party in the Mash House.

As well as the Pressure halloween party and riverside festival you may have seen Bash opening for a variety of acts like Varg, D Carbone, Cardopusher, Esme, Paranoid London and DJ plant texture.

for the latest instalment to the mix series Ma Bla has curated a mix in which she takes us through her collection of slower orientated tracks.  known for her fast paced acid, techno & hardcore style selections and rave picks from the past, this mix focuses primarily on the opposite end of the spectrum with some amazing selections of house, acid and techno tracks.

Bandit is a DJ, formerly known as
N O I I S, operating under a brand new alias. He began DJing in late 2020 at only 16 years old and has since been honing his skills and refining his sound. After taking a step back, he is now in a place where he feels both comfortable and confident in his abilities and is ready to share his artistry with others.

Having previously released mixes on labels such as @7even.twelve and @closecontact.tv , Bandit is no stranger to a podcast series. Since he began, he has also spent time DJing in a bar and played his first gigs including a peak time techno set for @peak_gla .

Bandit describes his style as predominantly old school techno, both driving and breathing with a focus on groove and air-tight mixing.  Bandit has only recently begun mixing records and for this mix has chosen to incorporate both cdjs and turntables through out the high energy, hypnotic & hard groove set.

Our aim as Waxworkz is to create a community platform of vinyl DJ's both new and experienced showcasing an array of underground sounds as well as displaying what Scotland has to offer when it comes to mixing with turntables.
