Having methodically teased the soundscape of her forthcoming compilation over the past months, she now unveils ‘Body Language Vol. 26’, a record that stands as both a statement of intent and an act of refined curation. Out now via Get Physical Music, the compilation maps an evolving terrain where emotion, texture and rhythm converge with an elegant restraint rarely achieved in club music today.

Launched in 2005 by Berlin-based label Get Physical Music, the Body Language series has become one of dance music's most essential and enduring mix compilation series. Each edition serves as a curated journey, blending exclusive tracks and remixes that push the boundaries of house and techno. With contributions from luminaries like Booka Shade, WhoMadeWho and andhim, the series has consistently showcased a commitment to innovation and musical depth, influencing both DJs and listeners worldwide. Now, with Vol. 26, Yulia Niko continues this tradition, offering a fresh perspective while honoring the series' rich legacy.

The project unfolds over eleven tracks, as she unveils a deftly balanced selection that plays like a nuanced narrative. It moves from the effervescent, sun-warmed piano house of ‘So In Love With You’, through to the nocturnal depths of ‘Bad Habits’ – a reverent yet freshly dark reimagination of Jenny Burton’s ’85 anthem, co-produced with Alfonso Muchacho – before arriving at the skeletal, hypnotic minimalism of ‘Just Just’; a deft reworking of a Rework classic.

Central to the compilation’s identity is the never-before-heard ‘Takina’, a collaboration with Alexey Union and Kinky Sound that crystallizes the collection’s ethos. Christophe Salin returns with La Vérité, a deeply personal and emotionally rich EP that explores the concept of truth in all its complexity. With his signature blend of emotive house and narrative depth, the Salin Records founder crafts a sonic space where reflection meets rhythm.

Salin’s music has always been defined by context and storytelling. His productions are rich in atmosphere — vivid, spiritual, and emotionally resonant — with gently unfolding melodies and fluid rhythmic foundations. Stimulating both the ears and the heart, Salin hits the sweet spot between the danceable and the charmingly meaningful, where energy meets introspection and movement reveals memory. Salin’s fascination with the human experience and our perception of the world is what fuels his creative output. It’s this perspective that allows him to infuse his analogue-driven house music with a deep sense of emotion and narrative.

La Vérité — French for “truth” — sets out to examine just that: What does truth mean, and who defines it? From questions of belief and universal truth to the reliability of memory and personal conviction, Salin uses these themes as inspiration for the EP. The music itself embodies stylistically the musical feels and sounds of the early 2000s, and even through this Salin is questioning the truths - was it really as golden as we remember, or does selective memory take hold?

With Good On You, Salin shifts into steady four-to-the-floor rhythms, using the track to reflect on letting go of limiting thoughts and emotional weight. Here, Salin explores the idea of release — moving on from stagnant thought patterns and embracing renewal. Euphoric energy underpins the track, while shimmering vocals add emotional depth. The line “found my peace” stands out as a quietly affirming statement — a moment of clarity framed in movement.

The EP closes with the aptly titled Euphoria, a track that channels the purest energy house music has to offer. Its groove tightens around a triumphant melodic progression, where shimmering piano chords and sweeping synth pads intertwine with an uplifting vocal sample. The result is a deeply resonant, emotionally charged finale — a true peak moment that radiates warmth and lingers long after the last note. A world wanderer who came to rest in a coastal Ecuadorian village, Way of K has been exposed to music from a wide variety of cultures. This global influence combined with his unique background as an engineer and meditation teacher has given him a special relationship to sound.

His studio overlooking the ocean also serves as a meditation retreat center, where intense periods of musical creation are balanced by retreats for days at a time in total silence, with only the sounds of the rainforest and rhythm of the waves to influence him towards the next work of art.

When he’s not in the studio or guiding meditation retreats, you'll probably find him surfing. Constantly gathering inspiration from the relentlessly dynamic nature of the ocean.
