This is a composition I wrote last year. It showcases a few of my guitar abilities (for the metal side)

in this piece there is various advanced techniques such as sweep picking and 6 finger tapping.

The last sung note features a vocal harmony of an E minor triad spanning my entire vocal range (the top note being a B6)

Hallowed be Thy Name (A Tribute to Iron Maiden)

Led Zep were a very prominent influence in my early days and this particular song is by far my favourite of theirs.

Funny story actually, I could not find my slide for that one part... so I improvised with a AA battery!

Achilles' Last Stand (A Tribute to Led Zeppelin)

I thought it was time to pay my dues to a very influential band of mine. Thunderstone are one of my favourite bands and this particular song (off the self titled album) is my personal favourite and it gave me the inspiration to form Dakesis - I owe so much to these guys, after all, Pasi Rantanen is the man who inspired me to take up the vocals in the first instance.

Tonight I paid tribute to the titans of 80s hair metal - DOKKEN! 

This rendition however has a special guest vocalist in the form of my Mum doing the backing harmonies with me! it's the first song she's EVER recorded so please give it a like! :)

I am a competent musician with over 15 years of experience. I can play guitar (electric and acoustic), bass guitar and I am also a respected vocalist. I am available for various projects including:

*Guitar: I have been playing guitar since I was 10 years old. I specialise more in the rock/metal side but I am very experienced with other genres such as blues, funk and many more. I would consider myself to be a tight player. Whereas I am more than capable of the flashy and technical ‘shredding’ such as sweep picking and tapping, I have a good sense of discipline and understand when and when it’s not appropriate to use such techniques. I have a very high standard of equipment (Engl Amplification, Mastershop LAG and Gibson guitars) and I have a 7 string guitar if needed.

My guitar influences include: Stéphan Forté, Jeff Loomis, Gary Moore, B.B. King, Yngwie Malmsteen, Steve Lukather, Ritchie Blackmore, Paul Gilbert and Dave Gilmour.

*Bass: This is my second instrument but don’t let that put you off! I am fluent again in many styles as I am with the guitar, I am perfectly happy to drive a simple bass line or fill it out. I am also able to do various advanced techniques such as ‘slap and pop’ and even bass sweep picking. I am able to play 4, 5 and 6 string basses.

My bass influences include: Franck Hermanny, Geezer Butler, Roger Glover, Billy Sheehan and Lemmy Killmeister,

*Vocals: I am a powerful vocalist with a 5 octave vocal range. I predominantly sing clean specialising in belted chest voice and powerful falsetto but I can cater for some extreme vocals such as ‘vocal fry’. My voice is very much suited to rock ballads and European power metal but I am very adaptable to your needs.

My vocal influences include: Bruce Dickinson, Ronnie James Dio, Glenn Carter, Ann Wilson, Pasi Rantanen, Tobias Sammet, Ian Gillan, Tim Ripper Owens, Roy Kahn and Rob Halford

***I can provide many services at competitive rates including:***

*Session Work: Be it a stand in for a show or studio work - I am open to all kinds of session work. I am have my own transport and will travel provided my travel costs are covered - no job too small!

*Tution: I am an acclaimed and experienced music teacher, I can offer private one to one tuition for guitar, bass and vocals upon request.

*Music Composition: I am a songwriter and I can offer assistance with ‘ghost writing’, or that song you cant seem to finish off! I have also composed many jingles for radio stations etc.

*Mentoring: I am experienced musician in the professional music industry and I understand how hard it can be to get started so I am willing to offer advice and guidance to bands and artists make their first steps on the road - be this sitting in on some of your rehearsals, helping you shape your sound or helping you get good gigs.

*Instrument Maintainence: I am adept at many basic repairs and set ups for many instruments - please enquire for more info!

*Basic Recording: I am currently in the process of setting up a recording studio, I currently have facilities for basic recording of demos and the like (please note that I do not currently have the facility to record drums at this time)
