A song about the difficulty those experiencing severe mental health issues have obtaining and sustaining appropriate treatment, particularly in an underfunded public health system. With the closure of residential inpatient faculties in the 90's the streets and the jails have become the home of many sufferers of severe mental health illnesses.

1) He wrote greeting card inscriptions, yes that was his job
   And he would stare into space until he found a line that he could be proud of
   "It's good to find a hard man", that was one of his - and then there was that 
    Picture of two trapeze artists, flying through the air saying "We can't go on meeting like this!"

2) Yes he had aspirations, yes he had much bigger plans - he dreamed that 
      One day he might own his own business, he might work for himself, selling singing telegrams
      And he married his sweetheart , when he was in his prime - and the
      Best man's speech brought the house down, but it was the groom who’d written all his best lines.

4) And his best man was ambitious, so he got into advertising –and one day 
    He asked his friend for a bit of help, and his friend said “What about “Coke is the real thing?”

Kiwi Born Sydney resident, Singer-songwriter Wayne Gillespie released his 6th album FRAZZ with the band Famous Blue Raincoat on 24 June 2022.

Gillespie cut his teeth playing London Folk Clubs and Busking in Paris Metros, making the finals of the NZ Music awards in 1984 & 1988 before relocating to Sydney. Gillespie has performed with the likes of Suzanne Vega, Chris Whitley, Stan Ridgeway, Ed Keupper, Margaret Urlich, and Dave Dobbyn.

These FRAZZ songs are a written collaboration with Drummer/Engineer Rob Grosser who has worked with musicians such as; Jimmy Barnes, Bob Daisley, Jon Lord, and Steve Morse.
