A Feeling Inside - House Mix NOV 23

What a great day that was.... Whist no official mixes of the day are being released, I have no time to post any other mixes until we all leave for the Housework Rooftop Shimmy in Ibiza (and my unofficial joint Bday party). So here's a copy of my prep work for the Shoreditch Platform which is very similar to what happened on the day.

Housework - Shoreditch Platform - Wayne A

One Friday night, I decided to create a mix with all the tunes I had in my HW DiscoTech playlist for the brilliant Housework's 1st Birthday party @ The Egg, London. I wasn't sure it was recorded at the time and that party deserved something in the memory bank for me personally. I knew I was playing late on just before the fantastic Tenacious, so there is more 'Tech' than 'Disco' in this mix and its probably a bit harder from 1 hour onwards than most of the HW regulars expect/prefer. In all honesty, by 1 hr in I was a few beers and a bottle of red wine down having a party for 1 at home, so I only knew what was on this mix a week after the actual recording...  But, the new DiscoTech room worked well at Housework I think and it gives the DJ's more licence to move around the now renowned HWSound. There's still some old and new here.... as always, which for me keeps it both interesting and challenging.

Anyway, Thank you to all who attended and who continue to attend the Housework parties. It's amazing to think that Housework are just a year old and have already nailed a string of fully sold out parties in its first year, including several London dates, IbIza, Corfu, a few boat parties inbetween and this party at The Egg. Theres just one more party this year on 14th November which again is sold out as I write this.

A lot of credit and respect to both Gary and Matt for all that they do and the constant social media battering we all get - which seems to work really well. But also the entire backroom team who work so hard and endure the stress of it all, the other resident DJ's, Mr Stixx, Nat on Balloons, the photographers... list goes on etc etc - there are lots of people making these parties so special, but mainly it's the endless familiar faces who all share the good times with us; dancing, having a good time, showing the way with nothing but smiles and open arms. So many amazing people in the HWfamily now, and the warm and infectious energy of each party is mainly due to all those who come out with this amazing openly positive attitude. I feel very privileged to have been a part of it all from day 1.

So a big THANK YOU to you all!

Some summer vibes, mainly older tunes that I really I like. It came about  after I had a good search around my music library during lockdown. It's not cutting edge, but a selection of tunes I enjoyed putting together which I hoped would be a good option for a nice drive in the sun....
