During my 'glory days' of multi-track recording, when I was beginning to get the hang of using Cool Edit Pro and mixing properly, when I always had my own room for recording and doing art in whatever apartment I was living in with my girlfriend at the time, I produced songs like this. This started as a bass line (as so many of the songs on here do) and I layered 'piano' over it on my trusty Korg N-364 Work Station, which had decent piano sounds on it. I don't really know how to play piano or keyboards (or guitar, for that matter)so I just fake it.

My name is Wayne R Flower, I am a musician who played semi-professionally for 20 years in bands such as State of Confusion (bass) Treepeople (drums), the Halo Benders (drums and bass), Violent Green (bass) and more. 

While I haven't been playing music at that same level for many years, I am still active, having recently been part of Treepeople reunion tours (2018, 2019 and 2023 - the last ever tour). I am currently working on a solo album called 'You're the One You Love,' co-producing with Steve Fisk.

I started this page to showcase my solo work that I had done sporadically over decades, but now that I have finally gained some modest skill at songwriting, I will be more prolific on here to promote releases, sketches and demos of my work.

Much of what is here, especially the playlist called 'Home Recordings', are songs from sessions where I put together something on-the-spot; improv compositions. Therefore, a lot of it is fairly experimental, and the sound quality isn't always the best! Songs may have been recorded on a 4 track cassette recorder with only two tracks working, for instance, and it may have been recorded during the '80s when my skill at home recording and mixing was minimal.

I hope you enjoy what you hear, and stay tuned for more playlists, some of which will include other musicians I have collaborated with.
