Driving their label with an iron hand, Greg Delon and Joris Delacroix are very proud to welcome a new artist on WOH Family «Gran Cavaliere».
Gran Cavaliere has always evolved far from electronic music and synths, playing organic instruments through the years. His meeting with the artist Electric Rescue pushed him to express the feelings he stands for into modern kinds of music, to give this blend of passion, purity and musicality from the depths of his heart.
On Teresa Ep, we have 3 originals tracks and a massive remix from family artist «The Dualz».
Hataway original is a really nice track, dark vocal, nice chords and melodic skills. The Dualz turn the track into a real peaktime bomb, your best weapon for each dancefloor.
With Teresa, Gran Cavaliere bring us to a smooth and spacy travel full of sensivity with tight sounds, and Onto the Sun gently concludes the package.
Gran Cavaliere is a true artist who gives reflexion and emotions through his music, so take a listen and take part in the trip.

For the debut release on my own new label IPSO with Kompakt Records, I wanted to try something different. The new label, IPSO is for me to invite a friend or a hero, - someone I admire musically to do a collaboration.
I’ve long been a fan of limiting myself in the studio. 
Sometimes working with less equipment brings out the best in you, so for the first release I figured it would be interesting to experiment with this. 
Inspired by the danish dogma films, I decided to make a rule. 
As I’m not one for overdoing things, the rule is very simple.
We are only allowed to use one instrument.
I reached out to my friend and all time hero Michael Mayer to do the first collab. 
Other than being co-founder of the mighty Kompakt records, and signing me in 2009, he is a genius in a dj Booth and a great producer. 
He has always been a great inspiration to me, so we agreed to start of my new Label with a bang. 
I set out the challenge, that Michael should choose the instrument. 
As I arrived in Cologne, Michael had chosen an old Yamaha Organ. Funny side note, is that it is actually Jörg Burgers organ. Jörg is actually quiet the legend himself, but that is another story. 
Michael and I spent 1 day in the studio, and we had a blast. 
The outcome is 2 great pieces of music that I'm very proud to share with you. RELEASE DIGITAL & VINYL - MAY 20

Over Christmas 2014 I needed a break from recording
my album, searching online for a song I recalled from
my youth, I fell into a rabbit hole of thousands of
YouTube playlists and posts, rediscovering the songs
my friends and I would gather and listen to as
13 & 14 yr olds every Saturday in East Berlin on Radio DT64
(now Berlin's Radio Fritz).

I stumbled back to the future, collecting over 5000 songs
on YouTube, learning for the first time the artists behind
the songs we heard almost 25 years ago.

The forthcoming trilogy is the result of 18 month
of building edits from YouTube recordings and stitching
them together off-line. I could not include every song,
nor indeed even the entire tracks from this small period
until 1993, so this is my personal history of electronic
music arriving in Berlin.

This trilogy will not be sold, it was a labor of love,
born of nostalgia and made for sharing.

The next release on Madtech records drops mid March and comes courtesy of Made By Pete & Hilton Caswell ft. Jem Cooke.

London Based Made By Pete has been making waves in the house and bass music scene over the last few years, releasing a string of records on taste making labels such as Defected and Toolroom. This new release comes with production support from Hilton Caswell, a South African producer and DJ who’s released on the likes of Simma Black and Phoenix Records, and runs intimate South London venue Gigalum which has been host to the likes of Bassment Jaxx and Felix Da Housecat. Further support comes from Vocalist Jem Cooke, a Sony ATV artist currently touring with Wilkinson as part of his live show.

This release comes in the form of three versions of the EP titled track ‘Remember’. The original mix kick starts the package with shuffling 909 percussion and deep sub swells, driven with a soft synth melody and the smooth vocals of Jem Cooke.

Next up is the Dub Mix, which takes a deeper stripped back approach in contrast to the original, making use of Cooke’s Vocals in a more subtle fashion with chopped up and filtered edits with warm strings then taking the track to new depths. Rounding off the release is the ‘Radio edit’, which condenses the main elements into a more punchy and upfront version, with emphasis on the mesmerising lead vocals of Cooke.
