Helluva Boss OST - "Stolas Speaks" Recreation

This was something I actually wrote for a history project last year. Each group was tasked with making an informative video covering some aspect of WWI, so this was used as its soundtrack.

The WWI Rag

I was pretty young like a lot of people when I saw this show for the first time. The introductory strings seems to pull on everyone's heart strings so I had a listen for myself and tried my best. With how rubato this piece is actually played, trying to replicate this was pretty tough. This work is not mine, this is just my attempt at recreating the composition made by The Blasting Company.

Over The Garden Wall OST - "Prelude" Recreation

Here's another Helluva Boss track! This piece plays specifically at the end of "OZZIE'S." This work was also done by Jefferson Friedman, and what an amazing way it is to top off such an incredible work of art.

Helluva Boss OST - "Credits" Recreation

This RPG was worth the play, especially given that it was made in a few months. This track plays outside the eponymous building. Nightmargin is the main composer for this game, this is just a recreation of their work.

OneShot OST - "The Tower" Recreation

This marks the first recreation of a track from the amazing minds of my favorite composers: Aivi & Surasshu. Ikenfell is a fairly standard pixelated RPG with a great story, and their contribution to the soundtrack made it so much better. This specific track plays during the second-to-last phase of the main story's final boss fight. The links to their SoundCloud profiles are below!

Ikenfell OST - "Demon Tears - Final Battle, Pt. 1" Recreation

I've never posted a Steven Universe track before, but it's by far my favorite show. Aivi & Surasshu, and Rebecca Sugar, did absolutely a beautiful job with this. I don't have the same instruments they used at my disposal, so this doesn't sound exactly like it, but I still wanted to give this a try because I love this piece so much.

Steven Universe OST - "Rose Quartz's Theme/Lion's Mane" Recreation

I made this earlier this year for a project on which I worked with a few people, creating a video to promote a program. This is the only track that ended up being used, but I think it's pretty funny and was laughing the whole time I made this for how cliché it is.

Questioning Session

The credit goes to Leon Riskin and his really interesting chords for this track. A few of the tracks from FNaF SL really captivate me, so expect a few more!

Five Night's at Freddy's: Sister Location OST - "Demolition Inevitable" Recreation

This one has taken a while. I promised myself that I wouldn't play this game until I dictated this, so here it is: Pedro Silva's heartbreaking brother-sister duet from Omori.

The thumbnail for this track and the Omori franchise is the brainchild of OMOCAT. This composition is not my own. Please support them.

Omori OST -  "172 DUET" Recreation

The sound design genius of Pedro Silva is something I cannot mirror in my attempt at recreating this piece, but I still wanted to do this. After finishing the game, I can say without a doubt that it is the most complete representation of all facets of humanity that I've ever seen. If you have the mental fortitude to do so, please play Omori.

Omori OST - "168 OMORI" Recreation

This was one of the couple early ideas for SS2’s title screen. This one was made later in development, hence why it has a name! Of all the tracks I made for this screen, I personally like this one the best.

SICKO SANCTUM 2 OST - Pause Menu [Unused].mp3

Early in SS2’s development, the plan was to transition from bright acoustic sounds to uninviting, dark electronic sounds. But high-fidelity orchestral sounds are not cheap. Fortunately for me, though, the narrative paradigm changed and we went in a different direction. I wasn’t too fond of this track anyways. This is the only music that remains from that era of development that represents the original plan: progressing through the game would be a journey from sublime beauty to technological horror.

SICKO SANCTUM 2 OST - Level 3 [Unused].mp3

This was made, as most of the soundtrack was, this past summer. Before I started making it, I knew I wanted my running leitmotif to be the half-step, which you can hear in the latter portion of this track. I wanted to do this because it would have been a musical pun: Completing each level was one step closer to completing your goal, so that progression or challenge would be indexed with some tense, fast half-steps. But that last section ended up being changed—and consequently, so was the leitmotif.

Of all the unused tracks, this one is most like its in-game counterpart, since, once I finished this, I only made one change: I completely flipped the structure. But it’s still different enough to deserve its place in the soundtrack. I actually like this version the best when considered on its own because it involved a lot of personal discoveries when writing it—one of which was the leitmotif I finally decided to use throughout the game.

SICKO SANCTUM 2 OST - “Fundamental Orientation”

The core’s interior is entirely made of flesh. In the center is the ancient, arcane face of Millawar’s biological computer. Reclaiming it will cripple the terra-human army, destroy the Chaos Cradle, and end the war. The terra-humans send as much of their army as they can to stop you. But despite expecting your hardest challenge, this doesn’t feel like it. It’s not boring either, though. You feel happy. It’s perfect. Although you did not know it, you’ve been pursuing this feeling all along, from the moment you had the humility to recognize your unknowing. And as you realize this, your mind merges with your combat. You distill the chaos of everything into a single avenue of focus and feel a greater ecstasy than anything you’ve ever felt before. Now, you fight for your own sake. You destroy the remaining forces. You end the war. But now what?

A white light flashes around you, and you find yourself surrounded by grand, floating architecture, deep in space. As you begin to fight, you remember being a soldier; you remember being complacent and arrogant, enjoying easy battles; you remember the exhilaration of your first challenge; you remember your obsession; you remember all the sacrifices you made; you remember how alive you felt just moments ago.
