Waziri Salumu Omary musically known as Waziri Wazzy gained fame in 2009 when he contested in Tanzania’s Bongo Star Search project before voted out at the last phase. He contested and participated in many music talent shows, competitions and star searches such as that of 2001 in Dodoma and won record deal at Backyard records undenr producer Abdillah ‘’Qoza’’, music cross road competition and awarded a microphone upon winning the best voice position in 2005, Ishi campaign,   Kilimanjaro Music Award Competition at regional level in Dodoma and won 250,000 Tanzanian shillings, and, 2011 Bongo Star Search second chance selection of only eleven contestants for music academy project. Waziri Wazzy comes from the family of music talent, his sister was singing for a famous Taarab group known as Tanzania One Theatre, T. O. T back in the days and his brother is a Mduara singer. Waziri Wazzy has studied music at Turn Round Music Academy under music teacher Noah Omolo after performing and dancing to the music since he was a child. 
He was born fourth on May 16, among seven children of Mr. and Mrs. Salumu Omary who had two wives. He is the last born on his late mother (Anzerani Ramadha Baruan 1964 -2000) side among other four children. He went to Madenge Primary School , Temeke studying up to standard three before being transferred to Vingunguti ''A'' Primary School in 1994 2000. He then attended Azania secondary school in 2001up to form two in 2002. He completed his ordinary level education in Dodoma in 2004 at City high School. He joined music group B. Y. C for three years since 2000 in Dodoma managed by Fourtnatus John under leader Sangaya Hussen, S.G. With a lot of struggle the group released a song titled Mama produced by Abdalah Qoza of backyard Records in the same year after winning the competition.
Apart from doing voice over adverts for condoms under PSI, Voda, Tigo, Zantel Whitedent and CRDB in 2012, Waziri Wazzy who is now under Marco Chali Foundation has managed to release songs such as Tulianae Ft Chege in 2011, Amka Chemka by BSS Ft. Waziri Wazzy, Chiby Dayo, Haji Ramadhani, Winny and Chege in 2012.
