Born in the dark streets of Cairo, grown to the unforgettable forests of Santa Esmeralda, spending its teen years in Bombay and Tangier markets, mature into the deep spacey Jungle of Ghana we proudly present you a new label from the land of the pyramids: SHANGO RECORDS invites you to an unheard world music psychedelic trip: like through a colorful kaleidoscope we will melt down Indian and Pakistani Vibes, Arab-Tek and Oriental groovy vibes, Afro-Beat rhythms n' pieces, Cumbia Tropicana flavors and cosmic Ghetto-Latin vibes into forbidden sounds of frenzied electronic dancefloor rituals. Outside traditional paths these driving grooves and polyphonic structures take the adventure seeking dancer to Dionysian highs and places never been before.

For thousands of years people have looked up to the night sky and told stories about the stars. These epic tales tell of vengeful gods and goddesses, of monsters and heroes. Others try to make sense of the natural world, or unravel the mysterious forces of the universe. There are stories and tales that bring together legends from all over the world: from Ancient Greece to North America, Egypt, China, India, and the South Pacific. The constellations, the moon, the bright stars, and the visible planets--as well as less familiar celestial phenomena like the outer planets, nebulae, and deep space have been mentioned through the years and now is the time for some music stories to come in. Stephane Salerno is telling stories and tales about the brighter stars of our world. This is his first offering for Shango Records. These three tracks can guide you to the mysteries of the galaxy. Max Tenrom, LamatUuc and Veytik are having lunch in the restaurant at the end of the universe.

The dance season is in full swing, the dancefloors are folding again, getting animated and we see a lot of smiles and positive waves blooming. This new opus is therefore inspired by this energy finally found.

We open the dance with 'Midnight Mystic'. This mental journey will take us into infinite nights, never wanting to leave the floor of the room and let ourselves be bewitched by this sweet melody. This mystical feeling of losing the notion of time.

For the second track of this new EP, the idea was to recover a track explaining the process of the effects of our best friend on our brain. It determined the mood of the track and its title: 'Mood Regulation'. A groove with southern accents and a rather strident synthesizer complete the picture!

Once is not usual the last piece could be the first. 'Watable Market' is of course more personal as you expect but it is also thought this time to come to start a journey which finally makes only begin.

As usual, a lot of love and a little bit of grass participated in the creative process.

On the ‘Lotus’ EP, Yør Kultura reveals a more melodic side of their musical realm. Gritty synth lines, strong percussion work and rolling basses invoke the spirits of places not yet discovered. Mysterious vocal samples sing the blues on this journey through various psychedelic worlds. The sultan of hamam swing Mehmet Aslan, crafts a sublime version of 'Willow' on B2, giving a Turkish twist by adding extra guitars and percussions. 33 & 45rpm playback is tested and highly recommended.
