Writing is a passion that I’ve realized, like Yoga, can never be perfected.  We can only continue to get better with practice and hard work.  I enjoy writing songs from all genres.  I believe there are three component to music (excluding instrumentals), the lyrics, the music and the voice to tie them together, those are and will always be the ingredients to great everlasting songs, for which I intend to produce.  With a catalog consisting of 100s of written lyrics, finding the music and voice will eventually lead to some great music being created

Lyrics Abound is more of a project than a band.  I'm often asked who's in your band.  Here is my normal answer: "Who is in my band"  Lyrics Abound is more of a project than a band.  There is one constant member, Rudy Harrell (me).  I write the lyrics, music, create the melodies.  However, I can't sing.  So once I've created an idea of how I want a song to "feel"  I then try to find the right voice to sing it.  That is the hardest part.  Finding the right voice to pull everything together.
