Our new guest at the collected cast series is based in Leipzig, Germany and part of the @ost_end crew. 
You could say he' is a real Downtemp/ Slow Groove Connoisseur. His collected cast is very driving but in a way hypnothic. He takes you on a journey through dark and mysterious worlds but some times you get to the peak and sunlight will shine upon your face.

éner is DJ and music lover from Rostock, Germany. He has found his love for electronic music in the early 90s and since 2005 he has a great passion for djing with Vinyl.

éner founded the @deep-smooth-podcast channel in 2014 together with @fuzeman from France who subsequently became part of the channel. Also part of this collective is Sara. She is the graphic designer and illustrator for D&S Podcasts.

In 2018 éner met the @faultierdisko guys and they became friends as well as colleagues. Faultierdisko is a DJ Team, Podcast Series, a Label and an event organizing crew in near future.

Let us take you on a glittering journey with éner and enjoy the smooth ride of this fantastic Downtempo Set.

Our last collected cast for this year comes with a bunch of deep and melodic down tempo sounds. Nico is an absolute expert in creating powerfull DJ sets. Through his work with his own label @katahaifisch, he has a big pool of inspiring artists and tracks wich he always use thoughtful and careful. 

We´re very happy to welcome Nico in our little podcast family.

Dorian Fecht was already on the road musically at a young age. In recent years, he has found a way to live out his passion for music through electronic music. His music is very diverse and moves predominantly in the slower realms. 

Sometimes dreamy and feel-good, sometimes deep and powerful, sometimes electronic, sometimes non-electronic. With his crews @love-foundation and @zirkulation, he has been actively involved in Dresden's subcultural scene for years. 

In the summer of 2020, he founded the podcast series @pan_tone with his best friend Til, which he has been curating ever since. He currently lives in Palma, Spain, will finish his studies in Dresden this summer and then plans to move to Berlin for good.

We are more than happy to present this great Downtempo set to you.

Khalum discovered the power of storytelling already at an early age. Film scores in particular captivated his imagination. Each soundtrack is an invitation to explore a new universe where the mind wanders and emotions travel. And that is how Khalum creates his sets. A musical mixture out of different genres and tempi. This is how you can describe Senior Citizen.
 
He mostly like to produce in a slower manner, wich may comes from the times where he listened a lot  to Hip Hop and Rap, but there are strong influences of Techhouse, that come from the times that he spent exploring dance floors  and of Indie Dance, to wich his brother @kunstlicht firstly opened his eyes. 

With older projects and aliases he played everything from Deephouse, Techhouse, multicultural influenced Downtempo, Afrohouse, Disco and Indie Dance (in chronological order), but tend to evolve more and more into funk.

This vibe influenced his sense of rhythm and energy which is felt in his selection and passion for good Music. Having a broad but particular range which has something else within a very provocative and unique sound moving with eternal yet an earthy journey. Buying 12" from the initial providers such as Submerge Detriot. Worked in the Music business for many years with BPM records as a buyer of all Electronic/House/Techno with a major focus on these genres and 12" Vinyl as a media.

Playing DJ gigs in Ireland, UK, Europe in the early days having a few regular and Irregular slots ultimately a residency at South Club Tramore.

GBN is always drawn to the evolution of Music in its many forms and keeps the freshness and energy alive as it moves into the 21st Century.

Someone once said: "Downtempo is dead." I don't know what they mean. It can't be dead and Space Kadett is on a mission to prove the polar opposite. It's as exciting and diverse as any big genre. Though I think it has a marketing challenge. People always say: "It sounds amazing, but what the f is it?!" That needs to change.

Space Kadett:
A person who tends to space out often. He or she does not respond when directly spoken to. The Space Kadett is not necessarily a person of low intelligence or a heavy drug user, but rather one who is so easily lost in music that he or she loses all awareness of the surrounding physical world.

Born and raised in the early nineties in southwest Berlin, these two did not yet know that their paths would once cross one another. 25 years and plenty of DJ-Gigs later, they stood next to one another at a home party in Zehlendorf. 
And that´s how it started. 

Disco balls, lots of light, driving disco music, champagne and at least these two guys are needed for a special disco night.
With a genre that is finally getting more attention in the scene, the two dance their way through the clubs and festivals of the republic.
In the beginning of this year, they started their own Party Series: "Disco Futurismo" at Crack Bellmer Club Berlin.

DJ Wait is based in Hamburg. Nevertheless his musical journey started during his studies in Heidelberg where he was organizing non-commercial partys and outdoor raves. His sound was shaped during this time and is still influenced by the atmosphere of those events. His sets incorporate a wide sound-range from minimalistic to complex, from melancholic to energetic - altogether creating vivid and dancefloor-suitable listening experiences.

The Doubljuh is DJ and founder of the legendary @deep_storys soundcloud channel. Moreover he manages this channel and their own new Label @deepstorysrecords.
Besides his devoted and lovely story telling for each podcast at Deep Stories, he is a huge Vinyl head and a pretty amazing Vinyl DJ as well.
