we the verb is a modern worship band from grand island nebraska
Biography
Starting as the worship band for Element Student Ministries, the youth division of Third City Christian Church in Grand Island Nebraska. We the Verb is a band of people who have played in many bands, and worship ministries, but once coming together felt the common desire throughout the group to share meaningful worship experiences with the Church at large. To share the vision that Christ wants us
to take action, and not be a sedentary church. We the Verb facilitates worship in a modern, present, and relevant setting. mixing popular worship music with our own varied musical influences shining through. We the Verb hopes to engage those that we have the privilege to lead in worship in a way that facilitates the message that God is bringing to them, either through the spoken word of the sermon to follow, or just the music itself.
Description
"we the verb" comes from Matthew 28:19, where in the Great Commission, Jesus tells his followers, "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit". The primary call in that passage is the act of "Going" to move. to become a verb. we truly believe God's people should be men and women of action, essentially "we the verb".
Band Interests
Chicken Wings, Pizza, more Cowbell, and drum solos, but most importantly facilitating worship through music, leading His people to a place that they are both ready to hear God's words, but to examine their lives and make lasting changes.
