Small Pond Recordings will release the self-titled, debut EP from Brighton quintet, Calico, on October 19th.

Formed of Chris Martyr (keyboards and samples), Dan Nixon (guitar), Lewis Husband (trumpet), Vlad Matveikov (bass) and Graham Burgess (drums), Calico fuse together jazz, folk, rock, classical and electronica.

Their debut EP boasts 4 compelling and progressive instrumentals, including our Debut Transmission: 'Fold A Winning Hand'. Sitting somewhere between smooth jazz and post-rock, between Tycho and Maserati, the track showcases the band's intricate creativity and raw emotive power as it builds into a crescendo of luscious sonic textures.
