Eggshells

Originally formed under the moniker of Honeymoon Fresh in early 2008, college friends Daniel Ross, Laurence Wells and Scott Devall got together with Andrew C Salt for a college project. Salty, who was already playing in and around their hometown was itching to start a band, and the three lads suggested that they have a crack at performing some of his songs he had on his myspace at the time; one of these being 'Nothing' (www.myspace.com/andrewcsalt, www.myspace.com/honeymoonfresh).
Encouraged by the warm reception the foursome were receiving at initial gigs, the lads decided to make the outfit official by enlisting a "proper" drummer. This came in the form of local loon Edward Cracknel, who's daft sense of humour suited the boys to a tee.
Many practice rooms later, Honeymoon Fresh were beginning to harbour a sound very much suited to the sunny-inflected, indie music of the time. This was in turn duly noted by the few local music lovers of the area, who'd had the chance of catching the boys live. However, the band name was beginning to show it's age, and after a year or two of sporadic gigs and lacklustre recording efforts, the Freshers thought a change was in order. Many a brainstorm and month's of debate passed, and it was finally decided that 'Vultures' become the band's new name. Born from a disregarded song the lads used to play, Salty had revamped and revitalised the tune which seemed in keeping with the bands new outlook.
After three years of dogged practice and "maturing", 2011 should see the release of a much overdue demo and E.P. release for Vultures, as well as maintaining their raw, exciting live set.
