It was an infatuation with electronic music from a young age that sparked the beginning of Nick Berry’s DJ career in the Sydney scene back in 2014. Since then, Berry has made a name for himself through his acute deviation from what is expected, playing uniquely melodic music punctuated by an eclectic mix of deep house and techno - influenced by the early years of dance music. Fast forward to present day and Berry has shared lineups with Âme, DJ Koze, Jimi Jules, Trikk, The Drifter, Oliver Koletzki, Andhim, Super Flu, Gerd Janson, David Mayer and Panthera Krause to name a few. During the stagnant year of 2020, he maintained his divergence from the conventional when he founded Anomaly alongside Harry Hooper and Milly Lees. The brand is a cultivation of deep electronic music paired with finely curated graphic design to help listeners navigate through the beautiful obscurities of electronic melodies. in 3 short years, Anomaly has hosted takeover parties at some of the best venues around the globe, including Sisyphos in Berlin, Electric Bar in Melbourne and a Secret Warehouse Party in Sydney. The brand has released a multitude of radio shows from a selection of fiercely talented international artists; Musumeci, Argia, Santiago Garcia, Andhim, Reznik, Re.You, Skatman, Desiree, Matthias Meyer, David Mayer, Murat Uncuoglu, Alican, Aaaron, Super Flu and others. The mixes showcase the respective style of each DJ, while contributing to the surreality that is Anomaly. The music is complemented by the dynamic visuals of Leipzig talent - Panthera Krause. Hailing from the Spanish mainland is a sound that’s resonating globally thanks to a select choice of producers that have been able to create their own path after years of honest and competent work. A notable character from that sub-culture of game changers is Marc Martinez Nadal, aka AFFKT, who consecrated a music career and has been a driving force behind a vivid & empowering sound that is refined by his drive for perfection. He feels deeply in communion with sounds that range from the most energetic hyper-glossy techno to the most detailed and innovative indie-electronica.

Having worked on coining the sound of this alias since 2008, it has been a plethora of sound, place, person & culture that has provided a platform for AFFKT to experiment with his output. Both as an experienced music producer of his own projects and as a demanded remixer. Still fresh is the mind-bending rework he made for GusGus’ ‘Simple Tuesday’. And what about those created for the likes of Oliver Koletzki, Fejká, Mason or Bufi to name just a few.

The Valencian has never stopped serving huge electronic crossover masterpieces that derive into the many sub-genres of music via key imprints such as Pets recordings, Multinotes, Mobilee, Last Night On Earth or Stil Vor Talent and his very own Sincopat label, and expressing versatility digging deep into his influences of sounds by delivering heart-stopping, engaging techno on the likes of Octopus, Noir Music, Suara… AFFKT is committed to a life of synthesis and this is what sets himself apart from a comparatively shallow glance at dance music.

In this one hour mix, he showcases the essence of his sound, with an eclectic mix of avant-garde electro beats and heavy bass lines that deeply resonate with us and that we cannot really get enough of!

Channan Hanif is a British-Pakistani music producer, songwriter, vocalist, DJ and actor. His early musical influences, ranging from trap, cloud rap and ambient to industrial rock, art pop and IDM, have all helped develop his approach to writing electronic music. Often using drums and melodies inspired by his South-Asian heritage, Channan lays deep rhythmic foundations under psychedelic synth-lines and ethereal vocals to create a unique melancholy while maintaining the power and relentless attitude of techno music. This results in a sound that is equal parts blissful and commanding - futuristic, yet viscerally primal.
