The Plot 2015

I wanted to make a remix of two  incredible songs that helped me through hard times at high school. The flow that biggie delievered always kept me up when I was buried in boring assignments. "I Tried" is a song with a lot of emotion and a lot of good tones, and together with Can I Get Witcha I hope you get a feeling of spring mixed with melodic disco and funk.

Alot of you guys have asked me to make another hip-hop track with some Nu-Disco influence. It feels so good to work with some Biggie vocals once again after the incredible success with "Old Thing Back"! I wanted to do something slightly different this time. I added the 2pac's vocals from "Hold on Be strong" and the track became magic! Even tho the two legendary rappers had their beefs in the past, I hope they are both sippin` Hennesey and chilling out to this track in the afterlife! R.I.P This is for you!

DECEPTION BAY is the second single from Sydney based hip-hop/psych-soul-tronic duo BOO SEEKA.

The duo is just back from their first European trip – two months across Germany, Switzerland, France and Holland, where they played a mix of their own headline gigs and festivals.
In Sept this year they're back out on the road in Australia with SAFIA.

The live show blends distinctive altered states vocal melodies and slots them into a synth groove, underpinned by electronic kicking rhythm sections. ‘DECEPTION BAY’ is 3 short minutes of downright electronic bliss that vibes off the 80's for texture, beat and synth riffage. The band wanted to push the edges of the song out a little creating layers and have different rhythm patterns coming in and out. Experimenting on this track and slipping between their instrumentation and their old school hip hop/electro edge. Taking vocal melodies putting them through samplers again to make their spacey dance styles.

It's funny how big a difference one person can have on your life. I'll never forget the first time I heard Biggie, my big brother Dan played me Ready To Die and I never heard anything like it. I couldn't understand the words or the stories but I could feel them, his flow, the vibe, it changed me. A few years ago, with nothing but this same respect and love for such a legend, I took a Biggie acapella from YouTube and made "Old Thing Back" with my own inspirations, in my bedroom in Trondheim, mixed with just one speaker! Yesterday I just found out it achieved GOLD sales in America. The impact that this great man has had on me not only with the music that fueled me as a teenager but to this insane achievement in the beginning of my career, words can't describe. A couple months ago I got in touch with another legend Faith Evans and asked to put this collaboration together to celebrate Biggie's birthday. Her and her team are amazing, her voice and vibe is incredible, and now I'm honoured to share a song with her, the one and only Snoop Dogg and the legend who changed my life, like I think he changed so many lives, and to who I am always grateful.
