One year on since the release of their latest EP, “Rituals”, German flagship duo Township Rebellion returns to SVT with “혼돈 과 질서” (“Chaos and Order” in Korean). Clad in some kind of sci-fi-indebted dystopian - yet no hopeless - scenario, the twofold EP summons ambiguous visions of a world caught in limbo between technologically advanced societies bound to collapse and ambitions for a brighter future through enhanced levels of empathy and understanding that long to surface.  

First is “Chaos”, a slo-blooming roller that steadily swells towards proper club epicness as its arpeggios unfold. Tapping into 80s-laced, Moroder-friendly Italo with a train-like electro-swing for the main conductor, the cut reels out like the soundtrack to a bumpy otherworldly dream where shapes, colours and sounds entangle in a cosmogonic ballet of sorts. Flip sides and here is the steely, yoking counterpart to TR’s free-flowing opener, “Order”. Flexing its metal muscles and giving maximum room to martial kicks and AI-implemented programming, the track reels out like a brooding call-to-arms, merging thunderous echoes with a truly enslaving gridlocked groove.

Release Info: 
Our next release takes full control of the French partnership of Citizen Kain and Kiko. Both artists have been presently released with Eleatics with remixes and full singles in the past, so welcoming this joint release is our humble pleasure. The latest productions released on Afterlife, ATLANT, Bedrock and Watergate have been warmly met by the global tastemakers, so this release is the one we are happy to put out finally.

Title 'Pablo' takes the haunting and cracking sounds from its' first seconds. The elastic groove alongside the sharp and cutting sounds is firmly proving the tracks' efficiency with dramatic and sensitive breakdowns. 

Israel duo Jos & Eli stay in our sight for a long time. Their recent releases were released by Renaissance, Odd One Out and Watergate, so their retake on 'Pablo' is a work we're delighted to release. Placing the hypnotic repetitive melodic elements over the stout bassline, Jos & Eli's remix dives the listener into the pure euphoric world of melodic techno sounds.

'Unsung' completes the package. Beautiful arpeggio work on the breakdown is well worked with the multiple sounds all over the track.

Finishing another record here, we are here to repeat the same thing we do: we will reveal more music, as long as there is no boundaries to set, as always.

PREMIERE: Citizen Kain & Kiko - Pablo (Original Mix) [Eleatics Records]

Replicant [Natura Viva]

Rogerio Romao and Micael Dias aka Pulse8 debut on Monog with the superb Feel The Way EP. This exciting project was born out of a collaboration between two artists with very different backgrounds and influences. They've joined together to create a unique sound that is not bound by genres, but purely good taste. They utilise various media formats in their DJ sets to deliver their intricate mixes filled with quality sounds that create emotions and tell a story. Great to have the guys on board and we hope to see more from them soon.

First up we have the Original Mix which intros with a nice punchy kick drum and some cool crispy hats that are soon joined by snappy claps to really get the rhythm flowing. A wonderful deep probing bass lurks on the low end settling us into a solid groovy mover. The vocals really stand out here and offer great character to the sound. As the layers build we find ourselves totally hooked into this one as it hypnotises our senses. Superb stuff that will definitely be a welcome addition in any set.

The Dub Mix offers up the same deep exploration as the Original but with minimal vocal and a slightly darker tone. Still a must have track that will beef up any late night grooving set.

Portuguese DJ and producer and a Monog firm favourite Luis Bravo delivers his fantastic remix. We last saw Luis back in March with his remix of Kruno Kereta's Ball & Chain EP, although he has shown up on various compilations for Bonzai and on Monog's 5 year celebration - Monog Records 5 Years Side By Side. Always a pleasure getting this guys work in the inbox and we are sure to see much more from him in the future. The remix sets out with a real cool urbanised theme as punchy kicks join crispy hats and a distant vocal that echoes in and out. A lush, warm chord teases us as the percussions start to ramp up the rhythm. The vocals sit perfectly within the sound here and keep you locked on to the narrative throughout. The bass takes all the glory here, a smooth, deep subby pulse that will really shake up the bass bins no doubt. A top notch slice of deep techy house that is a must have track for your collection.

Steyoyoke Black’s sound scientist, Nick Devon, presents his brand new experiment brought to light in the form of these four original tracks, the “Innerverse” EP. Once again his journey through the infinite universe of tech-made sonorities finds a shiny path.

The title track “Innerverse” couldn’t have been named better as it seems to be an incursion through Nick’s laboured sound identity. A bright, sophisticated affair where a waterfall of carefully chosen elements slowly pours upon us until the moment we are completely surrounded by a misty soundscape where tension and peace of mind harmonically coexist.

The odyssey goes on, reaching slightly obscure lands as we see that trail of light fading away and get in to the world of “Sithian”, the second track. As darkness begins to take over, we reach a brake where synthetic brushstrokes gently caress our ears, just before we’re hardly hit by the lower frequencies, then the bass is in, lights are out and it’s all about the Techno pace.

Then you finally land on a binary territory where you’re invited to experience two equally powerful versions of the final track “Eternity”, which comes in regular and acid version. Nick steers some beautiful chord melodies as he discreetly conducts an impressive dramatic evolution that fades in and takes control of the mood. Organic-textured sounds meet technological ones in a beautiful arrangement that sends us to outer space.

Nick Devon tours us through his creatively free experimentations, providing legitimate sensations of moving across different environments, all due to his outstanding sound design and skilled construction of soundscapes.

History learns people have always seen us as ambassadors of quality electronic music regardless the genres we touch. Over the years music has evolved, so did our musical taste, a combination which is pushing us to think more forward.

In order to focus on what we really want to do and giving artists what they deserve, it's become necessary to discontinue some of our labels. Most of these labels are part of that trance scene which we helped develop in the early 90's. The trance scene of today does not fit our vision, so we will fully focus our 3 remaining trance labels (Subtraxx, Camouflage & Nemesis) on quality progressive trance.

You will wonder now what we really want to focus on, well deep progressive, mini tech, tech house and real progressive house as we have been doing in our own way over the past year on Bonzai Progressive, Bonzai Basiks, ...
