This is my first release of 2024. 

SHEHNAI KUDURO is an AfroDesi track that blends the hard rhythms of Kuduro with folk melodies from a Shehnai at 130 bpm.

Kuduro, born from the vibrant streets of Luanda, Angola, and now redefined in Lisbon’s underground scene, has always been a genre of explosive energy and cultural resonance.  With SHEHNAI KUDURO, we are infusing the sound with the dramatic and airy tones of the shehnai, a wind instrument often paired with Indian ceremonial music and auspicious occasions. 

Drawing inspiration from the music of Júnior No Beat, I started making this track back in Feb of this year. After months of dancefloor testing and re-mixing, we are finally here.

SHEHNAI KUDURO

Thrilled to release the first single from our upcoming debut EP “From Erbil to Amsterdam”. The single “Chopi Riddim” is our first glimpse of the new EP and is named after the traditional Kurdish dance. This dance is often performed at weddings, side by side, shoulder to shoulder, symbolizing community and mutual support.

"Klash Riddim" is the second single from the upcoming EP and is an instrumental club track that blends Kurdish and other Middle Eastern inspired sounds with globalized rhythms. “Klash” is a traditional Kurdish hand-woven shoe and is often worn in festive settings such as weddings.
