Club Yokai is a Japanese-American producer duo crafting their own unique blend of R&B and Hip-Hop with sounds imported from Japan and America. Despite refining their craft in Los Angeles, their moniker reminds the audience of their musical roots — combining the genre mainstream with underground influences from Japan and across Asia.

In hopes of expanding this year, LFO is looking for new members to participate in creative and collaborative projects with USC students and our friends over at UCLA.
 
LFO Collective (Looking For Opportunities) was co-founded by Josh Smith (@clarencethekid) and Michael Azuma (@musicbyazu) during their freshman year at USC. Finding it difficult to find and meet new people outside of the Music Industry major, Josh and Michael sought to create a group that would encompass their ideas of creativity, collaboration and networking among other USC students.
 
Through monthly cyphers, original tracks, photo shoots, and house parties, LFO is pushing out collaborative content where every member has the chance to get involved.
 
As a group, we strive to create amazing things while maintaining a humble nature. We believe that staying humble is key to finding success and creating long-lasting relationships.

Michael Azuma, a.k.a. AZU, is a Los Angeles-based artist whose music draws on complex synth layering, foley elements from nature, and atmospheric pads, to create beautiful, immersive, and passionate soundscapes.

Michael began teaching himself how to DJ and produce at the age of 12. His obsession and love for artists like Skrillex, Porter Robinson, and Madeon pushed him to start producing his own music.

His debut album, Polymer – a showcase of AZU’s production skills and versatility – was released in August 2019. Michael plans on spending the rest of 2019 collaborating with and producing for local Los Angeles artists as well as preparing new remixes and originals for next year.

“I strive to figure out the last 10% the projects I work on need. I really believe the last 10% differentiates average songs from the classics. I want whoever listens to my music to keep coming back and discover something new on each listen.”

AZU hopes to continue developing his sound as he finishes off school at USC where he is majoring in Music Industry and Music Production.
