After being known from the more melodic side of electronic music, Scottish producer https://soundcloud.com/obviouslydan delves into fast-paced, grin inducing melodic techno with his ‘Pearls EP’.

The lead track ‘Pearls’ is led by an infectious, gritty flute motif that grabs your ears and almost forces you to smile with how happy and bouncy it feels. Underpinned with a thumping drum track and a big, bold bass line, this peak time record is a club anthem in the making. 

‘Byson’, on the flip-side is just as club ready as ‘Pearls’ but with a few more of the melodic elements that we’re used to, from an obviouslydan record. Reverbed vocal snippets dance over classic sounding piano stabs, supported by yet another big old bass line. 

Hats off to this young producer - these two are belters!

After making some serious noise at the back end of 2023, with his single 'About You', which  saw an abundance of support at Radio 1 from the likes of Danny Howard, Jeremiah Asiamah, Jack Saunders, and Arielle Free, much-tipped Irish producer Boku returns with a brand new single to kick off a new year, with his forward-thinking sounds yet again primed to turn heads. Blending an array of emotive, high-tempo electronic beats and rising arpeggios around a rave-edged backdrop.
