Focus” is the harmonious melding of sonic masterminds soundcloud.com/egzod and soundcloud.com/imagin8forever, two producers fresh out of music school. It’s an untethered slice of world bass, which unfolds into a cinematic journey of densely stacked synths and trap-infused melodies. The sound design itself is something spectacular, accented by the haunting vocal that floats atop the anchoring breakdowns. All in all, the boys have put together a strong tune that finds a fine balance between the upfront and more emotive sides of bass.

Egzod & Imagin8 - Focus

North American songwriter and producer duo bordrs, consisting of Ofo Barher and Skye Strickler, is a multinational EDM group working across the U.S.-Mexico border. The two started collaborating in 2015 on Strickler’s debut EP, and upon completion decided to keep releasing one-off singles under a separate moniker. 

Barher, an emerging international producer, and Strickler, a wide-ranging songwriter and vocalist, release songs as unique and boundless as their internet-based collaborative process remains. The two write and work online with flexibility and without limitation, which is reflected as a theme of the music they’re expected to release in 2017.

This track started as a remix idea, which we later decided had more potential to be an original. We went through about 3 sets of singers & vocals until we wrote the version Alina sang. The track speaks of how focusing on the wrong thing can wear you down when your true passion is like a signal fire around you and it shouldn't be ignored.
