I’d painted up a picture that I wanted
Picked the people, picked the place and put it on a
Canvas then set out running
Jumped inside that portrait of my life then

Stuck the landing and I looked around on
My composition many things had gone wrong
This wasn’t what I’d wanted
This was not my vision for my life and

So I had to pull the plug on what now was
A deadhead pulled it out uncovered
Buds to blossom out from under

Birth and death they are the same
They’re just passing through to other phases
I gotta be one with changes
