There's an inner conflict between the heart and head and a revealing of the insecurities that come from those feelings. All set against a driving bass line and ARP synth.

Wrong

Having personally witnessed firsthand a tragic incident on the London Underground, this song acted as a kind of catharsis. The song expands the occurrence into a fictional narrative around the central protagonist. An ode to the fragility of human life and the importance of leading our best lives despite the cards we're often dealt.

Sirens

Musically inspired by the music of Black Sabbath and Ennio Morricone. There was an intention to combine the weight and attack of Black Sabbaths amped guitar riffs with the atmospherics and drama achieved through the use of chanting vocals and acoustic instruments in Ennio Morricone's Spaghetti Western soundtracks.

Musically inspired by Ennio Morricone's Spaghetti Western soundtracks, 'The Good The Bad and The Ugly', 'Once Upon a Time in the West' and 'A Fistful of Dollars' etc. We wanted to take real life contemporary subject matter and drop it into the context of a Spaghetti Western, emersing the listener in a kind of narrative emotional journey in which key characters experience betrayal, hardship but ultimately justice and retribution. Leaving the listener with a sense of optimism. The kind of stuff a viewer might experience from watching  Sergio LeoneWestern, in which good ultimately triumphs over bad.

Our forthcoming EP 'Reset' is out Now!

Plucking from a wealth of genres and pop culture references, HYMNS make epic and ethereal rock songs that exist to enlighten and energise all who bear witness. With thick Baritone vocals and rousing choral hooks, their music is appropriately bittersweet. 

Whereas the infectious guitars and driving bass lines of their debut London EP documented the inherent solitude of inner city living, the band have since been looking outwards, obliged to think bigger about the sinister direction of today’s global politics. Woven from stories of personal experience, the band’s unapologetic honesty supports the weight of their music’s sturdy foundations.  

Their new 4 track EP release, Reset sees the band delve deeper into their signature atmospheric sound, broadening the musical palette with elements reminiscent of Ennio Morricone's Spaghetti Western soundtracks and Black Sabbath's heavy guitar riffage. Mainstay favourites of the band, Nine Inch Nails, The Cure, and Depeche Mode also creep into their musical melting pot.
