The EP’s title track “A Time Before Now” was produced back in 2000 and has been pulled from his archives to show what tech-house was, is and should be, with it’s shuffling percussion, arresting bass line, pensive chord lines and introspective vocals. “Rebuilding” highlights Casey’s ability to create an effortless techno groove that chugs along with undulating sub bass and hypnotic synth patterns. “On The Road” takes a detour down a darker road with a haunting sub bass, trademark shuffling percussion and mesmerising chords.

Hydrafunk is an exciting Detroit Techno inspired collaboration between Immigrant Records owner and label manager Robin Porter and US analogue synth guru Mike Carr. The duo first collaborated back in 2002 releasing the ‘Mental Stealth EP’ on Immigrant, featuring the bassline and synth heavy ‘Fathernature’, a track that found it’s way on ‘Evil’ Eddie Richard’s Fabric 16 mix CD. Their new three track EP, ‘Beasts From Below’, fuses the analogue aptitude of Mike Carr and Robin Porter’s attention to sound frequency, arrangement detail and understanding of the dance floor, delivering an intoxicating peak time package of delight.

Ralph Sliwinski and Bjorn Mulik aka Anobis22 make their debut on Immigrant Records with a stellar 3 track EP that epitomizes their special blend of jackin’ house and soulful techno. The EP’s title track ‘Day By Day’ casually grooves it’s way into the bloodstream with rhythmic toms, tribal congas and old school vocal stabs, resulting in a jackin’ house cut of the highest order. ‘Hatchback’ cranks up the energy and firmly targets the dance floor, through its throbbing bass line, off-kilter synth hits, razor-sharp trumpet stabs and sultry keys before stripping down to some minimal funk. The EP winds down with ‘30th Stitches’, a venture into deeper more tranquil waters but still maintains the duo’s undeniable blend of soulful house and groovy techno.

4THSEX is the brain child of French, LA-based producer, Jean Marc Virard. 

For a decade, the creative art director, designer and music producer has been working intensively and actively in the Los Angeles underground streetwear and high fashion scene. 

4THSEX pays homage to the way that adolescent minds reinvent themselves and the world. Playing with themes such as rave, bass, banlieues(suburbs of a large city), street energy and the Gabber scenes of Europe, 4THSEX presents refined alternatives to over thought design in music. 

With obvious references to cultures such as Chicago House, Detroit Techno, post-punk, bass music and 90's Rn’B, the 4THSEX sound is as futuristic as it is vintage. 4THSEX's production, look and politically incorrect graphic styles give form  and colour to all the contradictions and ambiguities of the underground and it's ever evolving identity.

HISTORY
Immigrant Records was founded in 1998 in California by British DJ/Producer @robinporter and has since released 40+ releases from 75+ international artists on vinyl, CD and digital formats. The label now operates from Manchester, UK.

The sound of the label was shaped in the late 90's by established artists such as John Tejada, Casey Hogan, Alexi Delano, Kenneth Graham and Jamie Anderson, who layed the foundation for new talent to emerge - artists such as Subb-an, Jamie Jones  Maetrik, Lucas Rodenbush, Noah Pred, Todd Bodine, Franklin De Costa, Jens Bond, Felipe Venegas, Jay Bliss, Mihai Popoviciu and Santos Resiak to name a few.
