Acclaimed electronic duo Kasablanca present 'Am I Dreaming?', their first Anjunabeats single of the year.

This enigmatic melodic techno duo exploded onto the scene in summer 2020 with their Lane 8 collaboration, 'Run', a bonafide hit for both artists. As of December 2022, it’s been streamed over 40 million times worldwide and charted at #1 on SiriusXM BPM. ‘Run’ was followed by their debut album 'Human Learning', and a standout collaboration with Bob Moses, 'Afterglow'. They've enjoyed extensive support on their releases from Vintage Culture, The Chainsmokers, Above & Beyond, Pete Tong, Don Diablo, Oliver Heldens, and many more.

In December 2021, they joined us at Anjunabeats, remixing Above & Beyond's 'Black Room Boy' as part of the '10 Years of Group Therapy' celebrations. Their first original music on the label arrived soon after: the three-track 'Immunity EP' was released in March 2022. The title track ‘Immunity’ was playlisted on Diplo’s Revolution station on Sirius XM, and was described as “a sleekly propulsive slice of melodic techno” by Billboard.

The duo debuted their live show, replete with racks of modular synthesisers, at Red Rocks Amphitheater in September 2021 while supporting US bass superstar Rezz. They've thrilled crowds across the globe, including at our Group Therapy Weekender festival at Dockyards London - their first-ever UK headline show.

Kasablanca’s latest track, ‘Am I Dreaming?’, was played by Above & Beyond to 20,000 fans at their sold-out Group Therapy 500 celebrations in October 2022.

Having recently wrapped up a run of shows with deadmau5 and NERO, as well as supporting Above & Beyond on New Year's Eve at Washington D.C's Echostage, the duo are set for their first headline tour across North America in early 2023, followed by an appearance at Miami's Ultra Music Festival.

Myon remixes JODA’s ‘Breaking Down Walls’, out now on Anjunabeats. 

2022 was a big year for Jono Grant and Darren Tate, aka JODA. Grant is one-third of Above & Beyond who, throughout a two-decade career, have established themselves as one of the biggest electronic groups in the world. In 2019, Above & Beyond received an offer to score an environmental documentary, ‘The Last Glaciers’. He enlisted classically trained musician, songwriter, producer, hitmaker and close friend Darren Tate, and the duo got stuck into composing together.

It became a dream project all around – not least because it sparked further ideas. JODA was born. Working in Tate’s studio in suburban north London, and A&B’s south London HQ, the pair were in a creative bubble during the early days of the pandemic. And the partnership proved fruitful. Their self-titled album ‘JODA’, celebrating the musical influences that Jono and Darren grew up with, was released on Anjunabeats in August 2022 – to a rapturous reception from the Anjunafamily and beyond.

Mario Egeto, aka Myon, has been in our orbit for many years. He’s been responsible for some of the finest vocal anthems in the Anjunabeats archive, including a series of singles from frequent collaborator Alissa Feudo: ‘Omen In The Rain’, ‘Perfect Ghost’ and ‘The Darkest Light’. 2022 saw Myon release ‘Moon’ on Anjunabeats, as well as the second volume of his ‘Tales From Another World’ mix series on Black Hole Recordings. 

Myon’s remix of ‘Breaking Down Walls' was premiered to 20,000 people at Above & Beyond’s sold-out Group Therapy 500 celebrations in Los Angeles last October.

ALPHA 9 and Lørean join forces to remix ‘Before The Dawn’, the first track from the former’s upcoming EP. 

Artem Stolyarov, known as both ARTY and ALPHA 9, has earned millions of fans worldwide and filled some of the most coveted clubs and festivals on earth. He arrived at Anjunabeats under his ARTY alias over a decade ago. ‘Rush’, ‘Zara’, ‘Around The World’, ‘Rebound’ and ‘Kate’ are classics that helped define the sound of the label in the early 2010s.

Artem later looked inward and found renewed purpose as ALPHA 9, the alias under which he’s explored his true musical identity in recent years. Focusing on the progressive trance that he fell in love with as a teenager, some of Artem’s standout moments as ALPHA 9 include ‘Before The Dawn’, ‘Stellar’, ‘Skin’, and his faithful update of Above & Beyond and Zoë Johnston’s evergreen classic ‘Good For Me’.

In January 2023, the debut ALPHA 9 album emerged. Entitled 'New Horizons', the album has already amassed over 6.4 million streams, and is an enticing look at the ALPHA 9 project to date and where it's heading next. Tracks from the album took centre stage during ALPHA 9's Group Therapy 500 set at Banc of California Stadium, Los Angeles, and during his 'New Horizons' album tour across North America.

Released in 2019, ALPHA 9’s ‘Before The Dawn’ attracted support from Hardwell, Above & Beyond, Armin van Buuren, Grum, Cosmic Gate, Fatum, and more. His latest rework sees him reunite with Lørean, who previously collaborated with Artem on ‘Sirens’, the eleventh track on ‘New Horizons’. ALPHA 9 debuted their remix to 20,000 fans at Above & Beyond’s sold-out Group Therapy 500 celebrations in Los Angeles last October.

Back with their second official collaboration since 2020, Kasablanca and Lane 8 team up on latest hit track, 'Remission', on Anjunabeats.

Launching into the dance music scene in 2020 with their first releases, Kasablanca quickly made a name for themselves later that July with the release of their hit collaboration with Lane 8, 'Run'. With that original track now streamed over 40M times worldwide since its release, hitting #1 on SiriusXM BPM, and heard countless times live at major festival stages around the world, Kasablanca and Lane 8 look to follow up on their success together with their latest collaborative release, 'Remission'.

After a massive 2022 and 2023 that saw Kasablanca touring around the world and playing some of the most well known venues like Coachella, Printworks, Red Rocks, and The Gorge, their tour in late 2023 was cut short after revealing that frontman "Mickey" was diagnosed with cancer. Following a short hiatus from touring and music in the start of 2024, 'Remission' marks the official return of Kasablanca after the debut of the track during their LIVE set at Ultra Music Festival in Miami, Chile and Peru.

Denver-based DJ and producer Daniel Goldstein, aka Lane 8, has become the leading light in today's melodic house scene with multiple shows at iconic venues such as Red Rocks and Brooklyn Mirage under his belt. Lane 8 fans might have noticed the new record being road-tested in his recent shows, most notably when it was debuted at CRSSD Festival in San Diego in early March.

Fans can look forward to hearing the latest hit release live at both Kasablanca and Lane 8 shows in the future.

Homecomings are always a special thing, and with music it is just the same. After the successful launch of his own imprint Deep State earlier in the year - Grum is celebrating with some epic remixes of the music that started it all - his Heartbeats LP from back in 2010.

Providing the new heat for this 10 year special are Tinlicker and Paul Thomas. Both artists fit in perfectly with the Deep State family.

Remixing such well known music, and taking in a different direction is always a tricky thing. Tinlicker's high energy reworking of Through The Night is progressive genius, twisting the Nu Disco hammer into a finely tuned roller.

Paul Thomas's remix is just as clever,  his remix of Runaway (one of the electro monsters on the original album) is devastatingly big. Heavy electronics and a supercharged bassline working in tandem.

Alongside Deep States unique new remixes we are also including music from the original LP in the package. Out this August on Deep State.
