Little known fact about this tune; Neil Diamond wasn't writing about a girl named Caroline. He was actually writing about a line of Carols that were queuing up to speak to the manager for him. Diamond has a naturally timid demeanor, so to have someone stick up for him like that was just gosh darn sweet.
