Frans Æmbient is the brainpower behind the Kashual Plastik label. A label whose output has consistently been impossible to predict, yet always killer. Alongside the label Frans host the cult radio show Plastik Universe on Berlin’s Cashmere Radio.  

For the podcast, Frans has carefully weaved together a journey into the sonic abyss, fusing an hours' worth of Lo-Fi oddities, Acoustic ambience and wacky Indie Rock.

Karolina and Piotr are friends duo who got to know each other in Poznań and strengthen their ties in Berlin. Having music as one of the strongest common grounds, they danced their shoes off on many dancefloors.Interestingly it turned out that they share almost identical taste towards ambient music. From playing for the first time together at the event of their friends from zeevonk project, they continue to collect deep, spacey and slow selection to surprise each other during record sessions. This mix is effect of one of them.

Stepping in for Kat this month is Hull’s Ctrl Alt Del events and podcast series frontman Danny Eyles. Over the last 13 years he has brought some of the best underground and minimal top spinners to play at his parties, and invited global DJs and artists to appear on his mix series. He’s also a producer with various releases under his belt, sharing label space with artists such as Shonky, Silicon Soul, Nico Lahs, David Squillace, Robert Owens, John Tejada, Ion Ludwig, and Ilario Alicante, to name a few.

Keeping within the theme of Kat’s self-titled “distant dreams” show, the mix delves deep down into minimalistic electronic sounds, so expect plenty of rolling percussion, wonky synths, mind bending vocals, spacey strings & breaks.

mod:al is a Parisian duo of experimental and minimalist music.

mod:al is a Parisian duo of experimental and minimalist music formed by Jeremy Carrasco, better known under his aliases Mod2 & Mod303. He is the driving force behind this project, handling the programming and modulars. Founder of the Microrama label, he has also contributed to the techno scene with several notable releases on labels such as Archipel and Sleep is commercial.

Albin Renard, who comes from classical, rock, and improvised music backgrounds, completes the duo on cello, keyboards, guitar, and vocals. Co-founder of the minimal techno label Cabale records and active member of Microrama, he brings an organic and expressive dimension to the duo's music.

Together, they explore atmospheric sound territories by blending improvisations and textures shaped live. Their music, at the crossroads of experimental and minimal, invites immersion into the atmospheres of film noir and science fiction.
