Like any story, Makèz's music carries multiple layers. Their recent projects reveal an approach that challenges listeners to listen beyond surface-level expectations. Inspired by artists who defy easy categorization -like Slum Village, Masters at Work, Moodymann and Theo Parrish- they create music that finds beauty in nuance. The duo found each other in their early high school days, through a shared love for house music.
