Mercia, a band with the average age of twenty, now consists of Simone on vocals and guitar and Dan on drums and percussion. Their sound is emotive and complex. Whilst their core sound is acoustic it cannot be classified as of the acoustic genre- it is unique in its unpredictability- veering from pain filled ballads to punchy, raw rock numbers. It is of the moment. They are true musicians who are dedicated to producing accessible and melodic music where lyrics are essential to audience engagement. They tell the story of their generation through their own experiences.
