In August 2012, the band Bon Iver hosted a remix contest; I chose to work on their song “Holocene”. Rather than cutting up and reinventing the track, I was particularly interested in adding depth to the relatively lengthy piece, creating ups and downs that would produce an interesting listening experience. I did all the engineering, mixing and mastering. I am particularly proud of overcoming the time constraints under which I worked in order to submit my entry. I achieved 4th place out of 240 entries in a popular vote.

This song is dedicated to the men and woman of the American Armed Forces. Many young people go away to fight for things they may not even understand to support their country.
