Usually noted for their solo performances, Einmusik step into the studio banding together with D-Nox and Beckers for a versatile heavy four-tracker. Einmusik builds up two constructions reminiscent of his live sets, expertly crafting ambiances that drive the listener into a trance. While on Sirens the focal point is a downward winding synth that instantly grabs attention, Sweet Spot offers a perfect counter with its ascending layers. On the flipside, you might remember D-Nox from the Schneeweiss compilation, and the German performer stays true to his style. Both Escape and his collaboration with Beckers deliver an engrossing groove, with a spellbinding bassline that sets a trippy mood. While Escape sets the tone and makes for an interesting development in a set, Mechanism makes a great tool for sustaining the intensity on an unassertive yet energetic way.

For his debut release on ICONYC we're excited to welcome Teenage Mutants & Mononoid to bring us their take on Wally's debut single 'All has Changed'. 

Wally who knows a thing or two when it comes to mind blowing productions, delivers an irresistible track that kicks things off nicely with the melancholic vibes setting the tone. He roams effortlessly through progressive inspired melodies, while the sultry chords sit wonderfully on top of the driving percussive foundation. Wally takes it up a notch by adding an extra layer of depth, whilst upping the flow with cleverly programmed drumming and his trademark FX elements, without destroying the essence of the main groove. His work deserves to be branded 'essential' in any sense of the word.

On remix duty we welcome German techno titans' Teenage mutants, for their debut on ICONYC. Teenage Mutants who are known for their driving and refined sound, keep the ethereal theme of the original alive, as the pulsating bass powers along, before its drum fills and general drive all combine to do the talking. Like something from yesteryear yet sounding totally fresh - This massive touch up takes the energy quantities up a level and increases the drive with stripped back and lucid elements, before the energetic groove creates a blanket of warmth that will put a smile on your face.

The second remix comes courtesy of label all-stars Mononoid, who bring a more progressive edge to 'All has Changed'. Their rework creates a good feel vibe from the word go, as the atmospheric and driving vibe keeps you moving with warm tinkling sounds, a smooth edge and some nicely effected sounding pieces that continue building to culminate into a lovely progressive house groover. We basically have the formula for a bit of a monumental outing. The sparseness is the key here, as this restrained gem works its magic while it plays away, creating a stunning glow, creating an air of sophistication.

With the talent on offer, Wally Lopez's 'All has Changed' manages to deliver a message of sustained musical relevance in emphatic fashion to warm the soul. Not to be missed! For the third instalment of the Passion series, D-Nox compiles a solo tracklist featuring some of the labels best loved names and a few new additions.

As always, the journey is a smooth ride into the mind of one of the giants of the scene and features the diverse sounds of trio Paul Anthonee, Paul Angelo & Don Argento, Circle of Life, Luciano Elvira, Sensitive (It), Starkato, Frank Sonic, Felipe Novaes, Baya, U:ICHI, and collaborations from D-Nox & Spuri, Who Else & ZAC, and Bulk Beat & Dough.

PREMIERE

The Argentinian MUNSE (@munse_ofc) is the artist who brings you the 15th EP of Infinite Depth. He provided three very interesting originals of which one collaboration with another Argentinian talent, called Stjepanek (@stjepanek). Two of the originals got remixed by respectively the Belgian duo Senses of Mind (@sensesofmind) and the French Aalson (@aalsonmsc).

The first tracks is called ‘Dawn’. A perfect intro track which starts of with a lot of exciting percussion. The tension through the whole track keeps expanding towards a certain unexpected point at the end of the track, through which all melodies heard before get new dimension.

The duo Senses of Mind took their view on ‘Dawn’ and stripped the track down. Around some more atmospheric elements of the original they built up the track again, using their own signature sounds. This all together resulted a pretty minimalistic and sophisticated remix.

The title track of the EP, called ‘Alma’, is a real journey through space. Starting of with the key elements of the track, which overflow in a friendly and peaceful melody. After this, it comes to the key moment, which could be seen as a real intensification. A moment which will bring you to higher atmospheres for sure. After this intense part, the track nicely falls down into the peaceful melody again to bring this journey to an end.

The collaboration between MUNSE and Stjepanek, called ‘Serentiy’, is a masterpiece full of surprises. Already at the beginning the tension is very high, which makes you wonder what will be the next unexpected moment. Constantly melodies of which you couldn’t think of are generated and are combined with a certain groove flowing through the whole track. A track you can’t get enough of, but unfortunately every track has an finish.

Aalson gave ‘Serenity’ a whole new meaning through his remix. In the beginning it looks like the remix is built on the lead melody of the original, but in the break a new signature melody gets introduced. This signature part gives the track an extra layer of euphory and brings the full EP to a nice and satisfying end.
