I'm incredibly happy and honored to present my new ‘Unrequited Self Love Story’ LP!!! A 10 track album on a trip through finding your own true peace.

This album goes through the inner journey of realizing that nothing from outside yourself it’s gonna ever bring you peace.
For some reason, we all seem to disconnect from our most pure heart essence and try to look for that same thing outside. We try to recover that strength and confidence finding someone to love us, trying to achieve our goals and looking for succession; but none of those seem to work long term and we seem to feel even emptier and more sad at the end of the day, when everything is quiet.
We frenetically run from our shadow as much and as fast as possible even though the mind keeps calling our attention harder and noisier, till it finally takes over and we have no chance to ignore it any more.
Once we’re in front of our biggest fear, we still struggle to look at it face to face and we keep asking our gods for some guide; but even them tell us that we have to look at it straight into their eyes. So then we realize that apparently scary demon was just our inner kid being afraid of growing up.
We have to calm them then telling that becoming an adult is not that of a deal; it’s just the art of not giving a fuck about peoples opinion, making your own decisions and keep pushing no matter if you fail or if you get it! So we finally stop looking for anyone or anything! We finally realize that we’re just complete on our own! But to fully love ourselves we need to embrace our darkness, so that primary spark of love can come out again brighter and more powerful than ever, not negating its inseparable shadow. Its own dual nature. So that we can finally free fly by!

After SGV5 last year, Sui Generis was the compilation I looked forward to the most this year. So to be a part of the 6th installment is LITERALLY a dream come true. I'm so so honored. Massive props to everyone at Full Flex Audio for making this happen! 

🌸 Behind the Track! 
Almost all the elements in the track are live-recorded (guitars, strings, foley, percussion). With a large number of the sounds actually coming from everyday objects like combs, crumpled paper, plastic bottles, ongoing traffic, and even left in my dogs barking.
Fusing the beauty of the organic, breathing world with the inorganic complexity of IDM encompasses the sound I wish to express as "Fehu.". I hope I've caught your ear!

A blind producer? Like: Blind blind?
Yea! Shanti Vega AKA The big blind barely sees and he makes music with a frenetic talking computer!!! How the hell he does it? IDK ask him…
With a jazz piano training, a classical music background and a soulish passion for electronic music; this artist brings a take on the EDM scene that incorporates elements from all genres, but being none of them at all.
Based in Spain; he shows quite a versatile career as a keyboardist and producer; oscillating from all kinds of electronics to pop & rap vocals, acid bebop soloing, smooth jazz piano arrangements or even all improvised Avantgarde music.
He also leads The Big Blind Trio: A band project that covers from the roots of blues and modern forms of jazz to electro-acoustic arrangements for the electronic music pioneers such as Koan Sound, Haywyre or Savant:

He made his first appearance with his ‘Looking For Soundland’ project in 2019: A record conceived as a film without image; and then focused on studying the professional jazz piano degree in the EMC in Madrid; earning experience as a live performer in varied formats like ambience smooth jazz for background in formal events, jazz fusion dance bands, big band, duo comping singers and even leading his own jam session (The big Blind & Friends) as the resident musician. He also participated as a keyboardist and arranger for studio recordings with projects like The Estupendos or Chris and the Beats.
After finishing his studies in 2021: He got more serious into producing. Getting to work on the music for some of the most promising Spanish artists like Edna Free, Sol Bontempy, Paraíso Calero or Granuxi; while continued his personal experimentation with diverse electronic genres.
In 2023, he signed his debut album release with the brand new emerging label @wearesilkenwood with a whole vocalist project himself: His Unrequited Self Love Story LP! A full length album that oscillates from the hardest forms of bass music to the mellowest harmonies. And he came back on the label with his Funny Money EP in 2024: A country/dubstep/cinematic/jazz record??? Whatever hahaha...
He have been also seen on other well known labels of the underground such as @intrinzic-music, @phono-records & @novelchapters

‘My biggest goal in music is to fuse the sound possibilities of electronics with the freedom of jazz improvisation, the transcendence of classical music, the easiness of pop, the punch of hip hop and maybe also the rage of rock? Who knows where this journey will take me hahaha... Wish me luck!
