Surprisingly enough, Alexa was the first person I had a session with for this EP, and this was the last song finished. We got to know each other fairly well and started writing the basic idea of the song up until the drop and then called the session.

Before going to bed that night I wrote a note with an idea of what I was hearing in my head. Within a couple of minutes the next morning, the first try at the idea worked perfectly and fit the song (which never really happens). I fleshed out the rest of the production the rest of the day and sent back.

We set up a session right before the EP was done to flesh out the second verse and Alexa changed the chorus melody which gave the song so much life and energy. A lot of tailoring the song to fit, replacing chops and constantly bouncing different ideas around - we finished and the song sounded complete.

Love, Alexa is one of the most interesting people I've had the pleasure of meeting and getting to know - her background and sound are one of one and come full circle with the way she writes and sings. There were moments while recording where I laid down with my eyes closed and just listened to her voice. Thank you for helping create this song and for being a part of the EP.
