Over the past few years my daughter has been living with me more and more, and like any parent knows your kid's music taste ends up rubbing off on you. When "Happier Than Ever" dropped in 2021, we had it playing every morning at breakfast for weeks. Each time "Not My Responsibility" came on, there was something about that moody, gloomy vibe (and the meaning behind the lyrics) that always stuck with me.

I'd told myself I'd try to tap into that atmosphere one day... then life happened, and I forgot about it. Until this summer, when the idea resurfaced out of nowhere and I finally sat down to explore that world. This track is the result.

Maxinne has been quite a force to reckon with, having made quite some impact in the last few short years she’s built a solid foundation supporting the likes of Mark Knight, Hot Since 82, Annie Mac, Eats Everything and more.

With her busy schedule between the UK and Ibiza, Maxinne has garnered a catalogue of her own productions, with exclusive releases out on Toolroom Records, Criminal Hype, and her own imprint Red Alert. Her releases have gained support from some industry heavyweights such as Toolroom’s main man Mark Knight, Hot Since 82 at Pacha Ibiza and ANTS Radio.

Maxinne’s profile has become more in demand and is seeing her regularly feature on various line-ups in Ibiza, Italy and the UK, including the Labyrinth and Resistance official pre-parties at Tantra Ibiza, Café Mambo, Sankeys and DJ Mag, as well as securing a residency with Toolroom at Eden Ibiza this season.

With Maxinne’s work ethic and focus it’s certain she will be bringing her own sound to the forefront of the industry with EP’s released this year on Toolroom records and her debut EP on Hot Since 82’s Knee Deep In Sound.

Starting her career as a DJ she is highly sought after in her home country in addition to Europe's unofficial playground for all things house and techno, Ibiza. She has an insane work ethic and between her own label Red Alert, being an advocate for equality in the industry and all of her own production she is making the world well aware of her talents. Having caught the ear of some pretty big labels in the industry including Knee Deep In Sound and with 2 EP's on the schedule for Mark Knight's Toolroom she is set to rise quickly through the ranks of the house music industry.
