Ever since Animal Trainer launched their global party campaign, the Swiss duo’s unique brand of ‘slow rave’ has captured the imaginations of countless electronic music lovers all over the world and spread their gospel to thousands, if not millions, of music lovers. Adrian Flavor and Samy Jackson are the two men behind Animal Trainer, a dynamic duo which grew up on a diet of the world’s very best electronic music artists in their hometown, Zurich. Driven by passion for the music and an insatiable appetite for the party, Adrian and Samy have become two of the hottest properties on the international circuit and represent the epitome of what Switzerland’s new generation of artists has to offer. Raised in a city with arguably the strongest club scene in Switzerland, Animal Trainer made their name through a series of parties called ‘Rakete’, which still take place at the infamous Hive club. The duo had already spent some time refining their skills as DJs before launching the event, but their sterling reputation was cemented at the club. It was only a matter of time before the ambitious duo pushed things a step further by injecting their love and passion into creating their own music. In the years since their first release Animal Trainer have maintained a constant focus on high quality club music, staying relevant when others have followed the hype, and evolving into a force to be reckoned with. They are party boys who take their music very seriously, but are never serious themselves – it’s a winning combination that has kept them one step ahead and on a constant upwards trajectory. We start the year strong with our NWDCAST066. We invited a very special guest - Marc, DJ from the producer duo of Avidus.

Avidus took over the scene by storm, with releases on some of the major labels such as Afterlife, Oddity recordings, Frau Blau, Crosstown Rebels and many others. With their own imprint Empore Music established in 2014, Avidus are making wonders. Not bound by any genre they keep experimenting and shaping their sound, only to deliver high-quality music each and every time.

Not only the aspiring era of electronic music in the 90s, but also the passion for electronic sounds guided his way behind the domestic decks early on. 

The fire of a deep relationship with electronic music has definitely been boosted by this. So it should not take long before the passion for mixing and djing led to various own party series as well as to a residency in a club in his city of birth Göttin- gen. Other stations followed, such as a weekly show at the online radio We-love-house.fm, or various gigs, for example in the legendary Stammheim Kassel, the Warehouse in Cologne or the Juicy- Beats Festival in Dortmund. In his adopted hometown Hamburg, Herr Oppermann is a regular act in the local clubs of the city as well as a host of the Hamburg-based podcast series „Klangextase“.

As a DJ, Herr Oppermann transforms his dedication to music to the audience, combining classic and modern elements of electronic music. His style describes a varied journey between deep,minimalist elements and Tech–House, turning each of his sets into a journey of sound with a lot of variety.

With his releases on Tach & Nacht and Amber Recordings, he also shows his producer qualities by transferring his close relationship with electronic music into melodic tech house tracks.
