Sian and Sacha Robotti join forces under their exciting and illusive alias Third Culture for their second release of 2022. After releasing the minimal, electro-funk, and sinister vocals single ‘Into The Dark’ - we see that trend continue with the single ‘Eyes Closed’. Collabing with Sacha, Sian adds: “I’d been really into Sacha’s DJ sets and unusual sounds for a while, I’d seen him go from old school Belgian rave to chill broken beat tracks without any hesitation and without any interruption of the dancefloor.” 

He also adds: “We hung out a bunch and talked many hours about the European rave scene roots that inspired us - to be eclectic, fearless, and seeking a new sound, which led to our new bunch of tracks, and "Eyes Closed” as a single”. 

The track, “Eyes Closed” is a warped synth work, rolling bass with eerie vox effects that make this track a standout production. Minimal yet chuggy, “Eyes Closed” retains a warm and groovy element with its bass.

Following a string of globally acclaimed releases in 2024, the Brazilian artist now unveils his most audacious body of work to date, delving into the archives of his un-released catalog – old and new – to form his latest medley of tracks, ‘This Is Not An Album’. Landing on Ruiz’s own imprint VOLTA, which now stands as techno’s fourth best-selling record label just two years after its inception.

Featuring 8 tracks, released on the 8th, and with the sum of 2024 amounting to 8, Victor sought to imbue his music with a sense of intentionality and depth, offering his listeners a meaningful and memorable experience tied to the alignment of numbers.
 
"This release is my way of pushing back against the transient nature of today’s music industry," says Ruiz. "I wanted to create something that would stand the test of time, that people could connect with on a deeper level. 'This Is Not An Album' is my revolt to a scene that often prioritizes quick hits over lasting impact.” He continues, “People may think that this has been a very elaborate project but it’s not. strong legacy for eclectic, boundary-pushing approach since the 90s.
Here he returns to Senso Sounds with two tracks of mind-bending techno.

Psilocybin does not hide its inspiration, the track is a powerful, driving techno tune
with a trippy, psychedelic edge that references 90s acid techno and brings it bang
up to date.

Distorted Sense of Time ploughs a similar furrow, but adds layers of dark machine
funk and acidic synth squiggles that creep into the track, ready to create massive
dance-floor meltdowns in the right hands. A wild ride into the more psychedelic
end of techno.
